bit late but, with the sausage roll it's levels above with tomato sauce/ketchup on it or even better if you make a little chimichurri and put that on top.

It's not bread on the outside. It's pastry! Savoury short crust pastry on the base & puff pastry on top. The sausage rolls are all puff pastry. No breading at all.
