Ε dire che Este è stata fondata dai Reti attorno o dopo il 2000 a.JC, con tempi dedicati alle loro dee Estu e Ritu. A quell' epoca l' Adige sboccava proprio a Este nell' Adriatico. Esiste qualche traccia di questi santuari o qualche reperto epigrafico nel museo locale ?
