Do you see now how dumb that mask thing was? Especially here. These men and women are swapping sweat and they had to wear masks. Think about that.

Ideally we'll see wrestlers in a company that were trained by people like King or Danielson

I’ve been putting it off in watching this for awhile and I’m glad the wait finally paid off! I came directly over to watch this immediately after I watched the Brody King interview on AEW Unrestricted. Watching Brody’s story is a remarkable one. Watching back the footage when he wrestled at Defy Wrestling in Portland brought me back so many memories. It was the first time ever I ever got to meet Brody King at a Meet and Greet and the first time I ever got to see him wrestle. I did tell him at the Meet and Greet how much of a big fan I was of his work in Ring of Honor, not knowing he had his jaw wired shut during his time there as well. It definitely surprised me in hearing about that both in the documentary and on AEW Unrestricted beforehand. I truly admired by how Brody’s injuries didn’t slow him down and it allowed him to continue doing he did best. You’ll notice me in the crowd filming wearing a Gary V, which I had my working shoes on that night, not knowing a documentary was done on Brody. All and all, I was so inspired hearing about the toll, the journey, the sacrifices to go far in achieving your dreams while putting family to the side (which I myself am currently going through while struggling through with my directing career at starting at a decade old age, hence the filming I’m seen in certain frames during the documentary 😉), and the wear and tear Brody King endured. It’s really special to hear from everyone who’s been a part of Brody’s wrestling journey and in his life including his wife, Bateman, Santino Bros, amongst others. I’m not at all surprised by what all goes into becoming a professional wrestler (physically demanding, acting, charisma, etc.). For Brody to be naturally gifted the day he first stepped foot into a wrestling ring is a special one to watch. And now that he’s AEW, the sky is the limit in what all he does especially now with the House of Black along with Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews. I cannot wait to continue to watch Brody grow, learn, and better himself in his craft as a professional wrestler in the many years to come. May God bless you, Brody King, for everything you have accomplished in your wrestling career and in your life. I’m so happy I got to meet you, interact with you, and see you wrestle for the first time ever back in October at Defy! Best of luck to you and the professional wrestling community cannot wait to continue to watch your growth, no matter where you wrestle. Brilliant, brilliant work on a a truly gifted athlete in the wrestling business! Thank you very, much for this film, Mr. Dylan Shell, Crucible Media, American Barbell Club, and to all the participants who took part in the film!

I heard about this after watching Brody King on the AEW Unrestricted Podcast on youtube. This was brilliant and had me in tears. I love learning and watching wrestlers away from wrestling because it makes me like them even more. Great job on this.

Once again, the scariest looking dudes give the best hugs. Brodie has that ability to light up a room and then tear it down.

This was a great doco. Definitely shows you how different the Indie Scene is in the States compared to where I live in the world. If you dive into people here, prepare to be shut down. It makes sense cause a lot of kids come to our shows, but at the same time, even at the adult only shows the same rules apply. I can't wait to wrestle overseas.

Usually love these mini documentaries, but man this one was one of the weakest being that it loses direction and others input their own stories rather than staying focused on Brody King for the majority of the time.
