This cool and exciting to see but also emotional. Leaves a lump in your throat because you see the images and you know what happened that day. 🙏🥺

It is very overwhelming walking through the museum, even though I watched the whole thing on TV I cannot imagine what it would have been like to have been there on that day.

It is the Ulanzi U-Mic, one of the latest entries into the wireless microphone market aimed at content creators. I am in the process of making a long form video on my thoughts on it.

Unfortunately with all that has happened this year I haven't been able to get back there this year as yet, I did however get there last year about 12 months after this video was made and there had been significant development

yep.. today is 7/05/18.. and my mate is the general foreman of construction. We live in Meningie. There's 9 months with 200 guys to complete major works on the first stage. The drift/gokart track is bitumenised and curbs etc are being put in there. Within a year the drag strip will be completed. This is a real "Park" in that a number of major motorsport events can be held on the same day ( ie.. MotoX + MotoGP + Gokarts + drags ). It is being built because there is no proper venue in SA at the moment for most of these sports, so Peregrine opted to service as many types of racing in the one location. This services all motorsport in the one fell swoop for South Australians and also makes the project financially viable into the future. Details of some aspects of design - such as the intended use of the infield and a RallyX track - are commercially sensitive. The Bend will cost over half a billion dollars when completed and be worth at least 2 billion within 5 years. It is a town unto itself. My first impression at the first events was "WOW this is the largest and most expensive circus I've ever been to!". Great fun.. Guys spend their entire personal fortune to go racing and so a facility of this international standard is quite appropriate. Let us hope some of the dog's-breakfast tracks in Australia get the message and upgrade to the proper standard. Accredited media get trackside access and you should apply for same

The circuit and the facilities are fantastic, facility wise there is nothing in Australia that comes even close. I also give great credit to the management team there for their willingness to listen and take on board input, this is very rare. The changes between the ASBK test and the race round less than three weeks later was impressive and I can't wait to see what the place is like in 12 months time.

It won't be a big issue, it is no where near as bad a shooting Motocross or Supercross...

jeffo232 the amount of work that is going on there it is a bit hard to say, even just today there has been roads sealed and shades built, with another three weeks to I think it will be ok especially for a first event

Restrictions on infield access for Photographers is a pain, but a sign of the times unfortunately.

I'm with you on that hideous catch fencing. They put it in for the Indy Series at Barber Motorsports Park and completely wrecked it for me. They do let us shoot the infield but outer locations are static due to finite number cutouts.

Look forward to catching up with you in a couple of weeks. Hopefully I will be able to give a view of the place that is a little different to what most people see, I think it is going to be a challenge to shoot, but isn't that what it's all about :-)
