Ive been using Acloset daily since Jan 2022 and i love it for so many reasons. It helps me style new outfits, track my usages, and determine if a new piece is a good addition to my wardrobe (can i easily integrate itand make outfits).

Did I miss the part about why there isn't a seam allowance on the tops of the sleeves?

If stitching is skipping on stretch fabrics, means your needle isn't ballpoint or is blunt.

Are Jorts an actual “trend” I don’t really remember them not being in style I’ve been wearing denim shorts every summer since I was a kid Yes I have some that are more distressed than others and that’s become a trend but that was a trend from like 2013 highschool days and it’s still popular now. I think jorts / denim will forever and aways be in style and not a throw away trend

Oh M G !... why are you overcomplicating a basic short boxy top with a curved hem? And what could you possibly need a zipper for? Did you use a woven (non-stretch) fabric to copy this obvious knit garment?
@charlesstewart619110 күн бұрын
... and that curved seam across the body and down the sleeves, that's not there anywhere.
@charlesstewart619110 күн бұрын
Okay, let's get into this, (Deep breath) (First garment) That was a simple basic straight forward garment that you massively over complicated. In both images you showed there was an obvious sleeve seam. Why would you build in all that extra curve in the sleeves only to take it back out at the shoulder of the armscye. Not to mention, the incredible amount of fabric waist by cutting it that way. ?????...

Also how to find the same or equal characteristic of fabric. Because some can be more flowy or thinner or thicker stretchier or stiff or drape etc.

I love the knee length. Also this does not look like something a patient beginner could do😹 I'm veeeery much a beginner, all I've made so far is a few book sleeces😹

Just to add your workshop I wanted to ask you Where is the grain lines. After you copy your garment on paper you should label each piece, add the grain lines on your pattern and correct the 90 degree angles, check the side by side. Ones everything corrected on the pattern then before you layout your pattern on your fabric you should match your pattern grain lines with your fabric salvage to lay your pattern

heya.. about to take the plunge and make a template from my last surviving perfect fitting tee.. in your video, the seam allowance follows the neckline of the tee - but it doesn't take into account the neck ribbing strip... wouldn't this make it too big (small neck???) Does this make an accurate version of the tee or am I missing something??? (keep the great vids rolling!!!!) M
