Great videos on this! Excellent tutorial with MANY great small tips for success. I would most likely not have thought to wrap the fork in tape to protect the new seals.

This was by far the best tutorial on replacing these seals! I watched over a dozen different people and yours was the best one to follow step by step! Great work, made my day alot easier. Thanks!

This video was sponsored by Mountain dew lol..PS you put your last plate one notch to the right, I thought last plate one notch to the left? Does it matter, as long as it's off center?

When you adjust the clearance, you allowed +/- 1 thousandth. Is it à good idea to adjust on the tighter side expecting the gap will get more loose?

Thanks mate, just bought a 2007 vtx1300c. Dude sold it to me way cheap, he claimed nothing wrong but the tires are shot and the clutch is slipping in high gear. Bought for 2.2k, spend 300 putting tires on, and 200 putting a new clutch in myself. Hopefully it'll ride like a dream. Engine is healthy as can be, starts up in milliseconds.

@Ree Toaded well I ended up on an FZ6s. It turns out cruisers just weren't for me. Unfortunately, though, someone decided to be stupid and cross the road without looking, directly into my leg so hard it broke open the engine case. I don't know if I'll ever get to ride again let alone walk 😔

I have an 03 and I want to take those chrome covers off to have them rechromed. Could I still ride around with just the 2 covers removed? It doesn’t seem like they’re attached to the oil at all thanks

Your better off using the Metal washer to drive the inter bushing into place. No ziptie needed. Also if you look inside the seal there’s a ridge in there, that’s called a grease ridge. Coat the new seal with grease instead of fork oil and it makes installation much easier, plus adds an extra layer of protection. As the oil will not push out the grease. Good video though and thank you for your time that you used making it. 👍

If you buy an injection needle with a plunger from a chemist, you can use it to suck up the brake fluid without the mess. Obviously you dont use a needle at the end.

This is an old video so hopefully you can help. I have an 03 with forward controls and it won't shift into 3rd. Shifts into 1st and second fine, then 3rd it won't shift. After I try a few time then sometimes it will then shift into 3rd and then less of an issue into 4th and 5th. Could it be the clutch or need to be bled? Or replacing the linkage ends so everything it nice and tight and fresh lubed up.
