I remember the DBZ powerscalers. Now that was a scary group of people…

Mha is a good show but the fanbase is weird because they are mostly minors who have little shame so its just gets weird and trust me ik because i was once like that when i originally started watching it

For me, I don’t get pressed over a fanbase. Like they can do whatever they want if they’re not hurting anyone. I ain’t letting a teenager live rent free in my head 💀

The My Hero fandom is like when there was that ebola scare at Chipotle a few years back. No better time to go to Chipotle because there were no lines. The asshole teenagers have moved on to greener pastures, so now the ones left are chill

this is good and makes perfect sense. the college is trying to provide both a focused education in a field and expand the horizons of the students so they're actually functional, well-rounded human beings when they enter the workforce. i've known so many self-taught, technically-brilliant CS people, who hyperfocused ONLY on their discipline, who got hired for multiple incredible jobs only to be fired within months because, surprise, in the real world a job that requires a CS degree doesn't _only_ require CS knowledge: you have to be able to coherently communicate with co-workers and clients (English), have to be able to critically analyze the problems you're trying to solve in a wider context (philosophy of science, history), you have to be able to ask normative questions about _which_ problems the tools of CS should be used to solve in the first place (too many liberal arts fields to write down), etc - if you could get an engineering degree by _only_ studying things directly related to engineering every engineer would end up being an autistic loser who can't actually produce anything of value because they're incapable of working with others, presenting their work, or even _deciding what work needs to be done._ colleges aren't job-training factories - if you want that, go to a trade school and be a plumber or something. remember (sorry, stem dorks): the hard sciences can only answer questions - they are incapable of _asking_ them.

MHA is full of either underage kids, or normies that thought they knew everything there is about anime just because they watched the popular shows. When someone put MHA as their favorite of all time, I just knew. They gotta be either of those.
