Safest bet is to always ride with a Japanese made motorcycle for when the KTM shits itself.

So glad I found your channel. Great stuff dude. Great production, riding and a solid dry sense of humor. 🍻 from the land of Snoop dogg, the northern end of that state.

Great review, appreciate the distinctions and especially the re alignment of expectations for what this machine can and is meant to do👍 I’m considering this for tours with a passenger, would you recommend this for dirt road touring scenario with 2 people on it?

I have to disagree with the not as top heavy comment. I nearly dropped it in the show room when i jump on it because it was so top heavy. Maybe it doesn't feel as top heavy when riding it. I havn't had the pleasure of riding one on the dirt yet.

Nice review, you. And him! I sat on one of these for a while and shifted between it and a few other bikes. In terms of saddle comfort,I found it close to the Tiger XCX, but not quite as nice. Not comparing apples with apples, l know, but at face value these bikes seem to have quite a bit to offer. Cheers!

I think to have the optionality for your TCS, TPMS, Cruise control etc would be a nice touch just for the whole personal feeling behind it.

Seen the 800T at a meetup and honestly had no idea it was a ktm engine and packed with features. For under 10k you really get a ton. Having a triumph tiger 850 and am happy with it makes me think maybe trade it in for the 800.

What a “magical” review… very inspiring. Last bike I had was a Bajaj Pulsar 2004 which I sold back in 2012…. Recently had the “wish” for a adventure bike and I have mu eyes on this one. Here in Costa Rica it is $13500. Very nice video

Top tip: about 14% of your followers will suffer from misophonia which is an abnormally heavy negative reaction to types of sound, often specifically eating sounds (about 10% percent of the population). Which is why in cinema the bad people are often portrayed eating noisily to evoke a feeling of disgust in people. Think Denethor in LOTR. So eating while talking will be a guaranteed way to lose about 10% of your audience. Which is a shame because your video is great

How you would compare power to DR650. Is it similar because is fuel injected bike or DR650 have noticeable more power?

Evidently, this video was before CFMoto introduced you to the art of icing your groin. Good to see that the tank could help out. I really love these videos - your presentation style is just so authentic and hilarious and your observations are on point. Test rode the V strom today and I wanted to hate it but I loved it. It is insanely good??? The T7 needs to look out.

Nice video. I have the 1290R and have done pretty much what you said, I have rally pegs, flat seat, full handguards, heated grips and Akrapovic end can. I have the touring screen, racks and boxes for road use and kriega bags for off road. I bought a second set of wheels and tyres for off road and fitted the extra, upper crash bars because I'm a coward. The result is a very versatile bike that if you drop it on your own you're farked 😂
