Great video! Using an Explorer or Flying V, puts your wrist in this exact position almost by default. Which makes sense, that it's easier to play metallica songs on those style guitars

Death's Spirit Crusher string skipping downpicking lick is a much better exercise to begin with, in my opinion It lets you practice more difficult patterns and downpicking on higher strings, which I missed out on while masterofpuppetsing
