How do I stop this type of brake from squeaking?

just got a scooter for my dog to pull and it has these brakes and came unassembled. After I put mine on the front brakes doesn't grip enough and the rear brakes is very tight. I can press the two parts on either end of the spring together easily on the front brake; the rear brake I have to strain to compress the spring with the two "brass" pieces. Will this adjustment you're showing help?

Great video! Great riding! My three year old son just learned to ride a pedal bike, no training wheels, after learning on a balance bike similar to these.

Here's a tip...buy them a regular bike and take the pedals off and they can use it as a blanace bike until they get it down...there, I just save you a hundred bucks.

@yin690 .... so 18 months IS a 1 year old.... 1 and a half to be exact, half a year to being 2....

dwpy, what the balance bikes give you is a lower seat. Regular bikes often can't have their seats set low enough for really little kids to use as balance bikes. But yeah, if a kid is tall enough to use a regular bike, just do that.

You can also just get a kids bike and take the pedals off....it only takes the kids a couple of days to learn balance....then you put the pedals back on and they ride ride ride.
