It’s hard to choose, so this ties for my my number one version of this song live. The other is at some awards show in France where incredibly she is asked to sing it twice. It’s just unreal. And in this version here when the guy screams out, “I LOVE YOU!”, and she giggles, takes a breath, then absolutely kills it! She is just so beautiful. I would love to meet that guy, I’d buy him a drink and he could tell me all about the show. “I love you Cyndi!!!”

Yes - this is the classic demented intervention from nutty Noel. Cyndi is just strutting her stuff as she does best, like trying to climb over the audience and then nasty Noel chases her and sticks his unwelcome oar in. LOVE this song - one of her very best - so full of energy and razzmatazz. Love that guitar too - fantastic lead solo!! But it's a different band than the one in the energetic official video isn't it? (except for the lady?)

I remember watching this on the TV when it took place, and loved her performance. Her voice is perfect for this great song. Not the greatest vid quality it's true, but SOUNDS great to hear again.

Just to clarify something here, she was lip-syncing but didn't want to. She appeared on the British show This Morning a few days after this and told of how they insisted that the word Bullshit be cut out, but she mimed it and it got her into trouble. Also, the host Noel Edmonds was apparently genuinely hostile towards her for straying into the audience, and she criticized the show for encouraging the guests to be anarchic but being harsh on her when she took them up on the offer. Apparently, she was not made to feel very welcome from the moment she arrived. There was a division between who some senior members wanted to appear and those who had the final say on the matter, and her whole performance was not widely welcome on the show. This is all information which I can't provide evidence of now, but take my word that all of this was expressed by Cyndi some 20 years ago.
