I would take Toby in a heartbeat Viktor...I have a rescue German Shepherd who was abandoned at birth because of hip dysplasia...she was a stray for a year then two dog shelters took her in. Battersea Dogs Home vetted us stringently and we brought our girl home 2 years ago. Even when she left Battersea she was very thin, but we've fed her all fresh and home cooked food and goats milk, and she's much better. No sign of the hip problem as yet but her muscles from walking on the heath 2 mintes walk from us ensures she can support her hips should she need to. We aren't rich, but we love our dogs. We had three for 15 years before Atasha and 3 cats also, all rubbed along very nicely. Atasha needs a playmate, she was in dogs homes for 8 months and she loved playing with the others...which is why I say, if you need a foster parent or adopter in the UK< please bear me in mind. I wish I was rich enough to cater for Toby's kidneys but if you have no other adopters, please bear me in mind...we've had Great Danes before and he is so wonderful. Sue xxx

Victor Larkhill is a wonder...his feelings are kept under control, but you can see his desperation and fear for these beautiful animals. This dog is so badly neglected and is a wonder he/she survived so long. People that do this to animals will surely get their Karma, and I hope it hits them hard. I'm in the UK and have a rescue dog myself, and she costs me £30.00 a week, and is still thin...she's a German Shepherd and she has hip dysplasia, so I feed her fresh chicken, lambs liver and steak and kidney, she also loves goats milk, to buiuld her up and no signs of it so far. Aged 3.5 years We've built her muscles up around her hips with long walks and runs, so she can support her hips should her diagnosis come to be. Unfortunately, as a cancer survivor and pensioner, with 3 others humans to look after, money is tight. I've tried to pay Victor knowing it will leave me short, so I stopped myself sadly. However I will as soon as possible send what I can. Please stop accusing Viktor of ridiculous deeds when his whole life is dedicated to our animals that get kicked to the kerb when they've outgrown the usefulness, ie puppy farms, drug families, gangs, and horrible people that think owning a big dog is a status symbol...idiots all of them, we should have laws protrecting our animals and I will ca,mpaign for this very soon. .... My dog Atasha was kicked out at birth almost because she has hip problems, she was a stray for a year then two dogs homes, the latest dog home was Battersea thank goodness. She is lonely without other dogs but I will only buy rescue dogs and finding one to suit my dog is proving difficult. If I can see what this man is doing for these animals, so can you. Take the whole picture not bits that feed your paranoia. Please help Viktor, he is a good man and so are his team. God Bless xxx
