5 State titles between these 2. Greg was a junior and Alan was a senior. Greg did manage to beat Josh Robbins for the state title in 1989. This match really happen in 1988 and as stated previously this was Medina Invitational Tournament (MIT) 32 man bracket.

I don't like posting this but R.I.P. rest in peace Tom Sweeney. He passed away June 3rd, 2023. He was a great wrestler, undefeated State Champ 1989 and a great friend for the next 30 plus years.

Hey wow my final with Fried. He was a sophmor I was a junior. This was the triology 1987. He won our 1st meeting at districts. 8-2. The regionals I got hom back 9-3. Then we battled this state final one out to overtime. Definitely the best I've ever encountered.

Probably, Dustin Schlatter's right there too. DS really turned things around going into his Sr season, made the world team, was tearing it up. Got hurt at Big10's. I do believe JB won 157 that year. Think they were 1-1 against each other in college. Dustin got one @ NCAA's & JB got one at an early open

Jeesh, close one! Ref gives Charles a Quick 1pt. Towards the end you should have received more than 1 passivity point! Against Charles - Ref seemed alittle bi-assed.
