Need prayer. My husband injure his shoulder and needs physical therapy. No pain medication helps with the pain and I don't know how to help him. Tomorrow I'm going in to do a 3 day testing for my seizures.

It was the serpent that tempted Eve not Satan.

The command not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil was given to Adam not Eve. Therefore Eve was deceived. Adam accepted the fruit from Eve. After all he had not picked it had he! However, he knew the consequence...the transgression of God's command. As a type of Christ Adam did not allow his Wife to die leaving himself alone a second time. So sin entered through Adam and although the consequence on himself and Eve was not immediate it was on the serpent.

Where can we find this thought exemplified in scripture ? I have a hard time believing this because I have never read what is being said in the scriptures. Also, how should we distinguish what is scripture ?

This was a good sermon , but it doesn't preach the gospel of sin and repentance. The night I was saved, 40 years ago, it was because I heard a young preacher teach about Jesus and Hell, convicting me of my sin and my need to repent. Up until then all I believed was karma and reincarnation. The gospel message is empty if if doesn't tell people what they are being saved from, not using terms like destruction, judgment and separation from God. Those didn't really scare me. Total darkness, isolation, weeping, gnashing of teeth, and fire.... those are the ones that got me over the line, followed by profound gratitude for Jesus and His incomprehensible, excruciating, sacrificial death, resurrection and love for me. I cried and confessed for over an hour, then spent the rest of the night praising and thanking God. People need to hear a sermon like that.
