So going from a completely cool air stock system to a half open box keeps the air intake cool? Looks like the designers of this intake halfassed the design of the box.

I have a 2023 WRX now that thankfully doesn't have rev hang but I had a 2020 Si Coupe before the WRX that had terrible rev hang. Drove me absolutely bonkers. Made me hate the car because of it. I love my WRX and a huge reason for that is no rev hang. Glad Subaru fixed this in the newer models. It really kills the driving experience in vehicles. I'm glad I didn't go with the previous generation WRX.

Is it possible to offer a setting on the AP for the DE5 that provides an estimate of the oil temperature? I’m wanting this for street use as opposed to track duty, and mainly I want some idea of where my oil temperature might be given in conjunction with the outside ambient temperature so that once “properly warm” I can drive the car as I want to. I hate guessing and it really bothers me that Acura did not put some kind of oil temperature instrumentation on their $50k + performance car.

Do the OTS files address rev hang? It’s the one thing about my DE5 that bothers me. I’d buy an AP & upload the basic 91 octane tune file (I have access to 93 octane) just to address the rev hang issue.

The current OTS files do not alter anything that would impact that. We intend to look into tables and calibration changes to see how much we can improve it. - Marshall@COBB

@@cobbtuning That would be very appreciated. Even when turning off the rev match feature the engine still holds revs just a touch which has made it a challenge to adjust to driving my new ITS. My previous car was protuned (via a Cobb AP) and it had zero rev hang. I prefer that and would love to remove it without have to get my DE5 protuned.

This is a huge improvement over the plastic shroud on my 2019 Platinum which has less open area than the newer F150s and Raptors. I enlarged the openings some with a razor blade but still not quite the openness of this piece. Plus matches the coolant tank cover.

This is probably a no, but for the AT, does this provide those users with an option to disable the 4K RPM downshift prevention when using paddles? Most know it as the "Beep" you hear when going into a breaking zone and trying to downshift to higher RPMs, but the car currently prevents this locking it at 4K RPM until a certain speed is reached. Obviously in the MT, this doesn't exist so apologies for any confusion!

i have a 2016 wrx premium and i am new to cars. my car feels like it has a powerband and it hesitates when im around 4k rpm and once it gets to abt 5k rpm it flys. how to i fix this? I am running stage 2 frn 91oct
