Absolutely glorious! If I were to be forced to make one negative comment - and it is really not needed or justified, it would be to say that competitors should wear tweeds!

The Vauxhall 30/98 at 3:00 manages to spin both rear wheels when it losses traction! did they have limited slip diffs then?
@chrismontgomery12234 ай бұрын
Hi Dan. This Vauxhall has a date of 1925, so too early for a limited slip differential, but the General regulations say:-Class 2 Long wheelbase cars (8’ 6” and over). ALL cars must have an operational differential - sub divided as follows: 2a. Standard cars * # 2b. Modified and Special cars. I'm no expert, so perhaps someone else can be more helpful. Chris

Does this mean the class 1 cars and the class 2b cars had to take the 'chicane' ?
@chrismontgomery12234 ай бұрын
Hi Captain. Only class 1 cars were doing the chicane. Although car 168 did the chicane it is in class 1c which is defined as "The Short Wheelbase Experts Class" which is a class developed from previous years results. Chris

Why do they look smaller than other 7s 🤔
@chrismontgomery12234 ай бұрын
Hi Martin. As cars in a speed event they want to be as small as possible assuming they don't have standard bodies, but most of these are quite standard. If you look at this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oreYfcuXsp7OnmQ.html you can see a variety of body styles on A7's and none are what I would call anything other than small. Chris.

Hi Martin. I'm no expert but I would say that they do not all have the typical Ulster body shape.

Unfortunately the rider on the big KTM who span and got a little stuck was me..... Cleaned it with ease last year but fatigue got to me this year and my subsequent ability to balance clutch/throttle was clearly waining on this final section! Next year....!
@chrismontgomery12235 ай бұрын
Hi Rory. As one of the marshals said to me ' If the riders aren't knackered by the end of the trial, I want to know what they are on! ' At least you didn't drop the bike and can have another go next year, and you added to the spectator experience.

@@chrismontgomery1223 - I'd been awake for 31 hours without a drop of sleep by that point so I guess after punting a 235kg bike around since before 10pm the day before I had a right to feel tired! Thanks for taking the video, participants always enjoy watching themselves back and it's a good way of encouraging people to give it a go themselves. Cheers!
