Curious question: does she have bald spots on her head? I bought the stitch doll, which is super cute, but was disappointed when looking at the head. I am currently rebooting more doll hair on her. I wonder if the manufacturer fixes the issue.

Thank you so much for posting this video, it is SO HARD to find records of American Girl doing this to people, and yet it happens all the time!! I run the r/americangirl subreddit and I've been searching for what feels like forever trying to gather these negative experiences to put them all into one place but I've not been very successful. I cannot believe just how much they are NOT transparent with anything. Like, they should have made you well aware before you sent off the doll that you would not be able to get the same doll in return. Imagine if this was a child!!!!! Imagine if this was someone's childhood doll!! And yet, SO many people are completely unaware that the doll hospital will do shit like this. I can't believe you were that calm about it, if this happened to me I'd be PISSED, and the fact that they'll make YOU send YOUR doll back when THEY are the ones who decided to change it in the first place just makes it even worse. I sent my Lindsey to the doll hospital circa 2012/2013. Head replacements were available, so I wanted that and a limb replacement, because her limbs were loose. I wrote in the little box on the form where you could leave additional comments that I really wanted her torso to be preserved, because it was a Pleasant Company torso with a flat neckline, not the wrinkled mattel neckline. My comment was COMPLETELY ignored, they gave me a completely new doll, it was a completely new torso and a completely new head. Thankfully I wasn't too upset, but it was very obvious that they had completely ignored my "additional comments" and just done as they see fit. I am not alone in this, and neither are you. The doll hospital is a warranty replacement center, NOT a restoration or doll fixing center. They will "fix" your doll but only by replacing parts. SO SO SO many people don't know this, send in their childhood doll they're really attached to in some way, and then get disappointed when the doll comes back with a different smell, or a face that's different, etc. Unfortunately AG markets it as any doll can go and get services, when in fact some dolls can't get certain services, and they don't care if they're replacing a nostalgic part of your doll. I also absolutely love that you love Lindsey so much! Most people seem to completely write her off but she's always been my favorite too.

@@TheAGcollector101 Totally agree, there needs to be some distinction at the doll hospital drop off inside the store locations. It’s absurd to not have some type of option for individuals who actually need some type of repair, especially since the dolls don’t technically come with a warranty. If it is a warranty replacement center, then they should be vocalizing that via print with each doll. Warranties would cost them quite a bit I feel like. Especially since the hospital is such a money pit honestly haha

Fashionista 90 is like $200 here 😢 I have barbie looks 10 because I love her skin and body but I wanted a more toned down eyeshadow so I tried repainting her and failed and now I can’t find a head to match. I named her simone (after her head sculpt) but I was inspired to make her look like the viral picture of anok yai I’m guessing u named yours after the model Duckie thot?

After all these years I finally got her...2nd hand, naked and already on this tall mtm body. I wish I had the iconic dress, but instead I made a crochet one (rainbow colors, or course) for her. This doll is rare and kinda expensive here in Brazil, since, back in the day, we didn't receive this wave of fashionistas in stores... A few years ago I got a couple of heads of the AA 2021 Holiday when they costed around 2 dollars on a chinese seller lol I was really happy to have them since they are so similar.

I got another one of the seafoam hair girl and her hair quality was definitely not Saran. It’s so strange that they pick and choose which to give nice hair. Even from the same doll. If you’d like to see a suuuuper honest reaction check out my first color reveal review. It was when their quality was just garbage and I was super obsessed with RH. Also remind me to show you the color reveal face burn situation.

You’re right! The current lines are a well balanced combo of the edgy and cute components. But there are some original reproductions coming out soon for an affordable rate

When i was little i did not like Snow White because of her short Hair. I was alway a Fan of long flowy Hair. So Ariel and Pocahontas where the best Hairwise because of the leght and movement. I also disliked Cinderella for her Updo. Now as an Adult i kinda like the shorter Hair for Snow White.

The one with green💚 shimmery skirt same in the same line as Snow white? If that is, I didn't like her face that much. She smiles awkwardly in that, I want to get a different Ariel❤ maybe soon, maybe a human Ariel if she looks allegedly good 😁💞
