Most rigs turn really well with a line aligned shrink kicker, this rig also lifts point upwards I really don’t like that

Most people fishing solid bags are fishing singles over a large spread of pellet. One little flick of a pec and the whole lots dispersed all over the gaffe in seconds

As Dave mentions solid bags can be tricky at first, the more you practice and tie them the better they become and you naturally become more efficient at tying them. The smaller bags are in fact much easier to make in our opinion and provide that "one mouthful for the bite" factor...due to the PVA stretch, a bigger bag can quite easily ressemble an old sock. PVA is actually pretty tough material and can be pulled and stretched quite vigorously provided your hands are dry of course. Along with patting and tapping the bag as it is made, you can really compact them down to a "SOLID" bag. Keep at it, once mastered they can be an absolutely incredible tactic in your armoury 😉

Covered most of my fishing there interesting leaving a longer tag on the PVA mesh as i would normally go through the side of the bag. Thanks
@CCMooreCarpBaitInsights16 күн бұрын
Yes, when using a form of hair rig, the longer tag can be used to fix it in position and prevent it wrapping around the hook on the cast which could potentially result in a fish loss. Little percentages can make the difference in fish captures. Glad you could take something from this video. Dave will be made up with that! 👍

I will give the long shrink tube section & see if I can still get bites from the majority of the sub doubles ( just one twenty in the lake ) Some carp have bad old line damaged mouths from the match types that pump them in The shrink tubing section looks kinder to the carps mouths

If you're fishing amongst much deeper silt I don't think you'd get away with using a lead clip setup, you wouldn't get good presentation, never mind your hooking potential
