Watched your Ohiopyle videos. I've camped there before but only biked the Allegany Passage. Are the trails easy to find, I tried to find some a few years ago and had trouble locating them. Heading to Delaware next week to Luhms Pond State park that supposedly has both mountain biking and kayaking. thanks for watching.
@an_over-the-hill_mountainbiker17 күн бұрын
@@gregghershberger7968 Nice to hear from you again. The MTB trails are not as hard to find as they were a few years ago. If you take the Sugarloaf Road out of Ohiopyle, it takes you up the mountain to the Ohiopyle Recreation Area near the top of the mountain. There you will see two large parking lots, a pavilion and restrooms (Clean but no running water). There is a large map of the trails on a sign at the parking area. Most of the trails are across the road from the parking lot but many trails are on the parking side of the road including miles of cross-country ski trails. The Ohiopyle Biking Club, which I recently joined is busy building new trails at the Clay Mines area that are little hard to find for those that are not familiar with the area.

I bought the China knock off of the Zuma . It's a 150cc. I've only had time to put 117 miles on it, but enjoy it so far. I've added a hard case on the rear, and made a different windshield. Runs around 60 mph, and around 100 mpg.

Is the zuma seat more comfortable than the Honda?
@gregghershberger7968Ай бұрын
I would have to say the Zuma is because it's bigger and because it is open in the middle you can adjust your position easier.

I love the Honda Zuma but there's a lot of different models of it now from several other companies one company that I am interested in getting it from is called vitacci, the bike name is called the tank. I find it hilariously fitting because of how all-terrain or off-road it is. My biggest thing is I've seen a lot of overlanding jeeps or vehicles what the same gas canister that you have on your side mount for the saddlebags, my question is where exactly did you find that I am very curious to know!

That was one one of the more enjoyable Zuma videos I have watched, very informative with real world use. The only drawback of this scooter is the braking, I feel a scooter should prepare a rider for riding motorcycles, but other than that it's a great little machine. Thanks for posting this.

I contacted Bluetti direct to email and they said they don't sell this display screen separately anymore.. I also found out that bluetti no longer makes eb150 nor the eb240 since 2022. They are out of production, but there must be an alternate way to get parts, or the display screen ? Do you have any alternate suggestions ? Thanks for your help

Sorry I don’t. It’s. Shame they don’t support it. U have several other power stations but I still use my 240 the most. It’s so powerful for its size. Fits perfectly I. My vehicles behind the seats to rim fudges, etc .

Hey brother do you use the Garmin for navigation, or just for safety?
@gregghershberger79683 ай бұрын
Both depending on where I;m at. It has helped me several times when I got turned around on single track forest roads. Usually by myself so I also like the security of knowing I can get help if needed. Thanks for watching.

@@gregghershberger7968 I have one as well, mine is not too good for navigation but fine for orientation. I was going to add that I used to mount it to the bike, but now I always keep it attached to me. If you are at risk of getting separated from the bike, it won't help you if you can't get to it. Happy trails, amigo.

Thanks for doing this video series. Im also a PA resident, Cambria County so a little north west of where you're at, but very familiar with your area. I've been thinking about one of these and some other scooters for a while. We had a Honda ADV 150 when they came out and although I liked it there were some things that didnt impress me for the cost, especially the seat. I've been considering the Zuma vs the slightly larger displacement Piaggio Liberty 150, which also has larger wheels. I did take the ADV on dirt/gravel roads so thats why the Zuma appealed to me, but I was a little concerned about how much power it had, being a 125.
@gregghershberger79683 ай бұрын
I also have a Honda trail 125 and the Zuma out performs it easily. The Zuma just seems to have more acceleration and power. I"ve had it in some pretty steep tight spots and it's never let me down. Thanks for watching.

I’m seriously considering buying a 2024 model. I’m 6ft 280…. Am I too big for this? I used to be almost 500 lbs and have lost a crap ton of weight, I think I’d be alright but anyone out there have one that is a bigger person?
@gregghershberger79684 ай бұрын
I'm 6'1" 200 lbs and I don't have any problem. One of the negatives before I bought my Zuma was some reviews said for bigger guys the handlebars hit your legs when making sharp turns but I haven't had any problems with this. There is plenty of power, I can easily get up to 55MPH and it climbs really good.

Pappy this is amazing, there is very little scholarly information on this boulder field that I could find. Is this of a glacial origin? I am quite interested and would like to do more research. Is this a named location?
@gregghershberger79685 ай бұрын
I could not find a name for it. The Trail I was on is part of a longer trail on All Trails called Chickadee and Southern Gas Line Trail in Michaux State Forest. If you find that on All Trails the start of the trail I took is where the trail juts out close to Old Forge Road not where All Trails shows it starts. If you ever get in the area and want to try and find it, if I'm available I'd be glad to assist you.
@pajiad1915 ай бұрын
@@gregghershberger7968 God bless you thank you for your reply. I was able to locate it from a satellite image and noticed that the boulder field extends across the entire ridge all the way down to the west side of the ridge in a semicircular or lunate pattern. Further reading lead me to a freely available pdf titled :"Cosmogenic nuclides indicate that boulder fields are dynamic, ancient, multigenerational features". My reading of the document indicates to me that these boulder fields are not well understood, their formation is not necessarily relating to glacial or periglacial activity and many of the boulders have moved or shuffled their position from top to bottom over time. This boulder field is indeed a mystery of geology glaciology and geophysics that demands understanding. These seem to be granite?
@gregghershberger79685 ай бұрын
Thank you for the information. I think there is another one a few miles from me in Maryland. Waynsboro, PA is right on the border of Maryland and Pennsylvania so I"m going to head down there in a few days and see if I can find that one also. Thanks again for the information.

@@gregghershberger7968 If you go to this one again or to any others could you try to find out or take close pictures of what type of rock the boulders are? I am fascinated by how so many large weathered rocks could end up in such a small isolated area without any obvious transport channel !
