She's sloppy as hell, but she CAN play. Hole aren't the sort of band who would benefit from complex guitar arrangements and shredding. If music just consisted of boring men arguing over who can solo fastest, I would have tuned out a long time ago.

I really like this interview because it was a proper discussion. Denton obviously didn’t understand Lydia’s perspective but he persisted and listened. Lydia’s view does comes from an experience Denton has not had. He pushes the gun issue and the militia attack on the White House comment which may be or not be a metaphor. At a time when guns in Australia were contentious, banned 2 years later. Now in 2024 we know right wing men did just that. She was open to responding when really she was there to plug her music with Rowland S Howard.

The concert where she was completely unhinged. Which also is confirmed in this clip (in Swedish). She was rude, hit a young, female journalist for no reason before the interview and then just walked away. During the concert she created so much chaos in the crowd, not listening to the security staff, that a 19 year girl died. I never heard her or Hole even comment on that, nor did the festival crew (who have shared harsh critique against her for that, they said she was aggressive and nonchalant in every encounter that day).
