My daughter is moving to Italy for 6mths on an educational grant. I will be in Rome 3 mths then 3mths in Florence. My nerves are rattled not knowing neighborhoods and also not being able to physically seem them until I get there. SAFETY, Racism, sexism etc my biggest concern is finding a safe area and if I should do an apartment or Airbnb. Can you provide me any assistance with good parts of Rome and Florence also if you think apartment or Airbnb which are alone at the same difference. I have tried looking into housing in a campus but that didnt work. Also the train rides are sooo long in addition to 15 min walk to get to train. ANY info would be greatly appreciated! 😊

I just got one too. What I find annoying is how small the foot area is for anyone larger than like a size 8. They should make mini stepper for people that have wider hips and feet larger than 11-12 inches.

Egypt is better now in 2024. In terms of dress code, you can wear what you like. The only places you need to cover up is in mosques and churches. Everywhere else? Wear whatever you like. Tourists in short shorts, skirts, dresses, long pants etc. Just wear what you like

I have visited los angeles a few times to go to P*rn conventions and date trans women and I was able to get to all the places I actually wanted to go without too much difficulty. Transit doesn't take you EVERYWHERE, buuuuuutttt..... people need to stop blindly assuming that you absolutely need a car there. I'd be happier without a Car in LA than with one in colorado springs.
