how/where do you attach the "action" though. For example, I want a sound byte to play when I transition between two specific scenes. where do i upload the sound?

One question when trying to relocate the files, am I selecting my entire music library or jist the serator subcategories folder from my portable drive? You didn't specify what folder I'm supposed to select after going into the main music folder.

@NoizProofOfficial thanks for replying I was referencing starting around 5:43. But after some trial and error I realized I have to actually select the specific folder in the My Music folder and have Serato find the lost files. I also discovered that my cue points transfered over as well, so that also saved me a huge headache. Thanks for posting this. It was very detailed and the step by step instructions were extremely helpful. Great job with this tutorial.

@@NoizProofOfficialis there a way I can just select the entire music folder instead of going thru it file by file. Also still running into the issue of some files not being located
@NoizProofOfficial
@NoizProofOfficial 19 күн бұрын
@@DarrylBishopDJFlavaz unfortunately I do not know a way to do that. I had to go back and put all of my files into one folder then tell Serato where that folder is to be able to do it all in one scan. They really need to add a comprehensive folder search option for that.
@NoizProofOfficial
@NoizProofOfficial 19 күн бұрын
@@DarrylBishopDJFlavaz in addition to the other reply, you could do a folder search for ".wav" and ".mp3" then drag all of those into 1 folder to easily create the combined folder.

will it work if I do in different serato versions?

With this method, it would overwrite the new version when you copy and paste the old serato folders on the new location so I am not sure. I would recommend matching them if possible.

I like the fact that OBS can change scenes by following the position of the cursor without any intervention on my part, but... I'm currently using a Dell Docking Station to connect two 27-inch monitors to my laptop, making three monitors. The laptop's screen DPI is set to 125% while the two 27-inch Dells are set to 100%. I don't know if it's because of the docking station (USB-C), or the different DPI settings, but I am only partially able to change scenes depending on the cursor position. What works best for me is switching scenes based on the active executable, which requires a click every time I change executables.

Yeah just make sure you install serato to that drive then go back and replace the serato folder in that drive with the one you’re importing. Really for this you’re just putting in the old serato info then showing your computer where the music is that it’s looking for, the drive shouldn’t matter.

Love these videos. We’re polar opposites man! Mini ramps are my comfort zone but the idea of trying to board slide without protective gear scales the hell out of me! Any attempt I’ve ever made of hitting a rail has ended with me regretting it lol. These videos are awesome, would love to see you at the Braille House one day. A trick I’d love to see you try on a mini or a quarter pipe is a fakie tail stall. The tricky part is getting enough speed fakie to do the trick so it’s almost easier to rock to fakie then hit the trick on the way back, but they are just so satisfying and fun! Keep going dude!

Oh wow that’s a tough one. I haven’t messed with this in a whole but from what I remember about this issue: I would think it’s going to be difficult for your new PC to scan to find the tracks on the new PC because of how folder paths are written. That’s why it’s easiest to go from 1 master file to another master file. It’s all based on the logic the computer is set up to think through the serato folders and where serato can go to find the music in the folders. If you wanted to back up your songs to 1 master file. I would suggest going to your music folder and typing .wav or .mp3 in your search bar then do select all and copy those into a new master folder. Then backup your old music folder to a separate drive to be safe. Then delete all the files in the old location. All the songs should go orange in serato if you try to click and drag them, then when you click find song and show serato where your new master folder is, it should auto find all the other orange missing files. After that, you can proceed to the steps in this video to get them copied over. Unless there’s a way for serato to smart search the folders, you would theoretically need to find each song individually.
@NoizProofContent
@NoizProofContent 11 ай бұрын
Then if space for backups is an issue of course you could look into zip files and other options for the actual size of the files. But I think creating the master folder by searching only for music files and copying them over then setting up new serato logic of where to find those songs would be the first step.
