this is a great webinar. I just wish hope we can move this way. People who are clinging to sheltered workshops do not realize that this is the only way to get a real job making real money. The only way to not be segregated into poverty.

This presentation is too simplistic, too slow-paced, and inaccurate. There are shortages of basics like paper towels and some food. contrary to the statement in the presentation, stores are not being restocked as quickly as needed.

Anyone who wishes to work in the community has ample resources to make that happen. Attending a sheltered workshop is voluntary. No one is "relegated" to sheltered workshops. They are lying and believing their own lies. Shame on you, LEAD Center!

Even Mentally able people with physical disabilities face employment discrimination. It's all well and dandy to claim people have "choice", but that doesn't mean much if no one is willing to hire you. All workhouses do is provide a loophole to depress wages of a group of people who can't fight for themselves

And when they close sheltered workshops, and 2/3 or more end up unemployed and MORE isolated, is that not in violation of ADA? Hmm?

Freedom of choice for people with disabilities to choose where they wish to work, including sheltered workshops. This is agit prop!
