Thank you! I put some percussion into most of my videos, but before the Wazinator I have been just using foot on wooden floor, sometimes with a dedicated mike at floor level, sometimes just allowing floor vibration to be conducted up the (vocal) mike stand to the mike. With the old-style round-bottom mike stand it's possible to get a great thump that way; not so with tripods. This Wazinator gadget has what I consider an OK thump, though some of my floor recordings have had more punch. Some compression and EQ help that, though, and the ease of use will probably make the Waz my default "kick". As for 12-string---well, that's been my main axe since my teen years, which is a LONG time ago.

Oh wait! Did you mean the knock-knocking on the top of the guitar? Well yes, that seemed appropriate. Pardon my rambling on about the Waz if you meant the hand percussion!

@@alonzogarbanzo yeah, It was kool that you put the knocking on the guitar almost every time you said "knock knock Knockin on heavens door" gave it a nice added effect!

If you're asking which app I use for songs in reality on my Pad, it's OnSong.

...and in fact, I'm only slightly less clueless about using the app than I act like in the video; all my songs are lousy screenshots of what's on my desktop screen. Still don't know how to import digital files or use DropBox or anything. Ah well.

Thank you, Eric. I sincerely hope not to offend you or any other fans of the song out there, but the reason I don't do that one is because of never having cared for it. As for the Eagles in general, I'm kind of in the back of the taxicab with The Dude, if you catch my allusion to a certain movie. I hope all my other choices align with yours! (*P.S. We know where that got The Dude immediately after he expressed his opinion ...man.)

I will add that if I get a request for that song, if I'm feeling especially accommodating or there's a prospect of a nice tip (same thing, probably), I sometimes will tell the requester I'm willing to play the opening and sing through to the end of the first chorus, and that always seems to be enough for 'em. I use the same evasive strategy if asked to do American Pie: I will play the opening and through to the end of the first uptempo chorus, then immediately to the slowed-down final verse and choruses. However, if I'm grumpy or tired I might just act like I didn't hear the request!

Never mind the amen, just put some money in the basket going around.
