I admit, I loved when Snow delved a little in the darkness here. The whole darkness made a bad decision plot they did with the Charmings in season, four was stupid, pointless, and just didn’t make them seem like themselves at all. I know they were forced to by the author but it still did nothing for their characters. But this, this is actually Snow darkening your heart a bit to protect her family, and to keep anymore loved ones from dying. I’m not seeing this as righteous but it was necessary.

And they still left Rumple with his father knowing that he hated him.....I am telling you the villain for Season 6, should have been Blue in disguise this whole time!!!

You can’t be called a ‘hero’ if you refuse to actually think of decent ways to save the one person who deserved to be saved: your child. A good parent doesn’t sacrifice their child’s happiness, safety and stability for the ‘greater good’. Snow gave up too easily here and didn’t even really bother to think up of any alternative. This goes to show that Snow wasn’t a mother at heart, she was a ruler. Motherhood came second to her.

Season 6 wrapped less than a year ago in story time. Season 5 events are still fresh in her memory and historically, Regina takes a long time to forgive but does forgive at the end.

Rumple tells Regina here that she can't have everything, and then goes in season 4 and Hook tells him "Ya know she (Belle) truly loves you. You could have her forever or all the power in the world." and Rumple responds "I don't need to chose, thank you. I can and will have both." Rumple clearly needed to take his own advice. If you notice through out the first 3 seasons it seems like Rumple is legitimately trying to change and be better, even sacrificing himself to stop Peter Pan. But in season 4 he goes back to his old dark power hungry ways. I truly believe the thing that made him regress as a character was Bae being killed. When he lost his son, the very reason he trained Regina and set up this whole curse, it broke him and he went back to his comfort zone: dark magic.
