He seemed like he’d be that overused bumbling dad trope at the start but in the end he’s actually revealed to be the more open-minded and sensible one of the bunch believing that Mei should just be herself as well as still having a loving and stable relationship with Ming despite her transformation. He’s also the only one to actually comfort Ming while the aunties kept insulting her.
