Love my 725 with 32" barrels, bought new in 2019 and close to 5000 rounds of Sporting Clays no problems, only thing was to clean the gunk off the firings pins( 20 minutes and a you tube video) after 4600 rounds. 8:49 My friends shoot various Beretta's and most of them need a trip or 2 back to the factory for repairs . Not my 725 , and fits me perfectly

I have a Beretta 686 in 20 ga, and love it. Only complaint is that these thin barrels heat up quickly. A glove on the support hand is a good 8dea. Also have an old Breda which is a 686 under a different name.

I watched your review and talked to my sporting clay friends. The Caesar Guerini was the clear winner for me. Thanks, I bought the Summit and really love it. I had used a CSX. The Guerini handles much better.

Very informative. I don't see a reason spend over $5K for an O/U clays gun; IDK maybe I'll change my mind over time. I currently shoot a Browning "boat anchor" O/U ;)

Nice. Good review. I just bought a Weatherby Orion 1 Over/under. Haven't shot it yet. My next O/U will be a Silver Pigeon. I think??

I have had this gun for few weeks now. Even with 32" barrels it is very fast and if you want more weight you can add it to the stock. It is smooth to shoot without extra weight. Barrel is the best on the marked, but with no extra price as with other brands.

I bought a 686 silver pigeon 2 years ago. I only shoot enough trap to get tuned up for grouse every year. Last year, mid season, I saw that there was rust forming from under the bluing. The bluing actually lifted and flaked off the rib. When I looked alot closer I saw pitting in the receiver end of the barrel steel. Very poor quality materials and finish. I've have my 1100s for 50 years and never had problems like this. Beretta QC was asleep when this gun was made. I'll never buy another Beretta gun of any kind. I just bought a Citori Hunter. We'll see...

686 should definitely be in first two categories, destroys elos

Thank you for your input! We included it in our top 5 under $2500 video as the top contender in that price range.

Great video! Does anyone have any personal experience with the Fausti Caledon or BC100? Beautiful guns, but there isn't a whole lot of information on them here in the states.

OR-e-on? Whatever happened to the classic pronunciation - oh-RYE-on? Besides wearing your undies too tight, bastardizing our language convinced me to never listen again.

I have one of these, kicks like a mule. The reason it’s getting hung up on racking is probably because the firing pin is sticking. Eventually mine got so bad that it would just stay extended…I had to run something down the barrel to shove it back in. I’d like to find a replacement part since it was my grandfathers gun but haven’t been able to.

FYI the Krieghoff K-80 is not based on the Remington Model 3200, the K80 is an updated/improved version of their former K32 which was based on the Remington Model 32 (made from approximately 1931 to 1947). Krieghoff purchased the model 32 design from Remington. The Remington Model 3200 was a new design introduced in 1973 and produced until 1980 reminiscent of the original model 32.

Would love to get into this sport, but all of these guns are a bit outside (if not not WAY outside) of my budget. Do you have another round up of sporting clay shotguns at more reasonable prices?

Kemen is an exact copy of a Perazzi, almost, but both brands are great guns. How could this guy leave Zoli out of this list? Antonio Zoli came on the scene with their new quality lineup about twenty years ago and now owns much of the market in Sporting guns, they shoot great and have the wow factor. Kolar is a great gun mow but in the beginning they had trigger groups breaking, that's how I got one for less than half price.(over twenty years ago)

Beretta silver pigeon 1 sporting looks cheap. Wood looks manufactured and engraving is blurry. Beretta has no interest in making the silver pigeon 1 the quality of the 90s Onyx. I’d buy the Rizzini over the beretta any day.

I have a 725 20 gauge I use for quail and dove hunting. I’m a high volume hunter so I’ve shot it a lot. I am in total agreement with this reviewers thoughts. For me, this gun is perfectly balanced and points well. I also have a beretta perennial sv10 and I shoot much better with the browning. I just purchased after market firing pins and springs which I will be installing. Also, the forearm wood cracked all the way through but my woodworking friend was able to repair it with no issue. Love this gun
@dallasepperson45272 ай бұрын
Can I ask what brand of pins and springs you went with? I traded for a sporting and was going to buy pins and springs to keep on hand while I’m at my competitions. Thanks for the help!

I got to try it the other day. Beautiful semi-auto, but unfortunately didn’t fit me well, otherwise it would have been on my list. Stock feels very thick and bulky at the comb and my eye was consistently off to one side.
