just wondering why you do not gravity feed water from the stream on your property? i love that you all can laugh through all the things that may not go through the first time. you all will learn that you don’t need to shower daily, wet wipes are great between showers. and you will learn to get wet, turn off the water, lather up and then turn water back on to shower, gotta get used to the “leaves” falling of the tree and touching you… lol. there will be plenty more creepy crawlers. i love all the “cow” comments. lol i would already be staying up there on the weekends, you can save the gas money and time and get a lot of work done while there. i did rv life for 3 years, i took getting used to but you figure out how much water you use and how such. use plant based ECOS laundry soap, we let ours run out onto the ground and the plants loved it. it’s safe for the environment. love watching you all and can’t wait to see what projects are coming next.

Hey man aint nothing at all wrong with makin it harder for bad folks to have an opportunity to take whats yours. When you get your road base down you can put a concrete footer in the ground where your gate comes together and attach a steel rod to your gate that goes down into a pipe in the concrete footer, it will add stability to your gate and secure it better. You guys are movin right along, keep on movin on bro 🙂

I remember back in the day, we used to give a donation to the local fire department anytime we wanted to fill a swimming pool or something and they would bring the firetruck and fill it up. So many things have changed over my lifetime, so many things we have lost as Americans and it breaks my heart because I know where we were and where we are. I feel ya on that heat bro, I just about fell out cutting limbs to get my tractor to my brush pile. Ya'll are getting the normal Texas heat as the heat dome has shifted westward, normally it sets over my area all dam summer, we have had maybe 2 days this year over 100 way unusual for us. Last year I built a garage last summer and the heat was severe, it was so bad it was twisting 6x6 posts faster than I could build with them.

"Improvise" was our middle name while building our house 20 years ago. It works....and we built a beautiful home and up to code. You all will get there with your homestead. It just will take lots of work. Once you are living on the property that will save you lots of time going back and forth like you have to do now. Hang in there, it is all worth it!

Good manure for growing foods and it’s free. Just scoop it up, put it aside, let it dry and add to the compost. 😀

As per your request for suggestions, I'd offer that u make that center area as beautiful and low maintenance as possible, ie a bench, some pretty flowering trees or bushes and a type of ground cover that isn't grass but like a moss rose instead so that u don't have to mow it. The moss rose is very pretty n yet u can walk on it bcuz its very hearty

IF you can! You should build a very sturdy “survival shelter” into a hillside. Build it as a “Bunker” and stock it accordingly. I don’t want to talk bad about your state, but your present administration Is so Socialistic it makes one 😭.
