Madonna was the only artist who worked hard and made a name for herself. I saw her in Concert in 1990 The Blond Ambition World Tour and it was amazing she put on quite a show and causing a stir. Everyone wanted to be Madonna and Madonna was just as big then. She looked good in the 80s 90s 2000 and now its 2024 and Her Like A Virgin Album is 40 yrs old now. **** She is 65 and she still has it.

THis lady really knew how to reinvent herself to appeal the youth of the times even when she grew older. She was a very controversial person throughout her life, but by all accounts everyone who met her liked her. She had a really nice friendly personality.

The news media has always been so shady! Even back then, madonna was a no talent,, Madonna could not sing, and Madonna could not go much further in the business…… They said it all and none of it was true.

30 years after EROTICA and this era is considered Madonna ARTISTIC PEAK by both the ART WORLD and by the ARTISTS (not just musicians but all kind of artists). Her "SEX" book is also considered an work of art (and ended up selling over 1.5 milion copies in US and 5 million copies worldwide before going out of print 1 year after release after the 4th edition). "Erotica" did not flop (its sales were already over 6 million copies 1 year after release) but compared Madonna previous studio album "Like a Prayer" that sold over 14 millions worldwide during the first year it had less than half the sales (so it was not the huge smash expected from Madonna). "Erotica" sales are now way over 7 million copies and certainly isn't Madonna best selling album or one of the best selling albums of all time (she already have 11 albums that sold over 10 million copies each by now) but it certainly isn't a flop that's for sure!. The "Erotica" album sales were certainly hurt by the hanger against Madonna expressing herself and her sexuality in both her "Sex" book and "Body of Evidence" movie (especially in US but in other countries did hurt a bit as well too). "Erotica" was certified 2xPlatinum in US (for sales over 2 million) 3 months after release in January 1993. In UK it was certified 2xPlatinum for sales over 600k in June 1993. The album is still undercertificed in most world countries as Warner Music decided not to recertified it ever since. As 2022 is Madonna 40 year carreer anniversary (and "Erotica" album 30 year anniversary) it will probably gain some re-certifications in some countries. I remember reading an article on the left page of a magazine in summer 1993 about Madonna latest album "Erotica" being a big flop as it "only" sold 5 million copies worldwide during the first 6 months after release and another article on right page of the magazine saying another artist album was an huge success as it had sold over 2 million copies worldwide during the first year 😅 Talk about double standards!😁😄🤣

The most proper and professional artist in the interview ever. Her answers always sound smart. Her behaviour during almost all interviews is always appropriate and intellectual. There are a few moments of flaws. But most of it... Professional!

Any criticism directed Madonna's way around 1992-94 is about people back then not liking her showcasing gays in a sexy light and/or her showing women owning their sexuality. Its because of Madonna that today's women in music are so sexualized and she had to breakdown barriers like she was doing in 1992. Society let Nirvana talk about suicide in 1992 with the Nevermind album but somehow she's "too far"? Please, a lot of Madonna critics hate powerful women and/or gays!

This era was really the first explicit sexual content I was made aware of. The sex book, erotica, Body of Evidence. All very eye opening and sexy to say the least. But growing up and society I think becoming more tense in general, a lot of this stuff almost seems tame

I really would have liked to live in that era.
