It's not rocket science. The 10k gvwr is administratively suppressed for insurance, licensing, registration, commercial use, etc. The truck's capabilities are far beyond the sticker. Quite likely the hardware is 100% the same as the 11,500 gvwr tagged 2500 trucks. Welcome to the world of HD trucks.

I agree. If it would be over 10k GVWR , wouldn't that be in the CDL territory in some states?

@@motorlane89 No. You're confused. This is why youtube is a horrible source of information. In no state is 10k gvwr a CDL threshold. If commercially used, >10k gvwr falls into DOT regulations, requiring a DOT number, placards, logbooks, and med cards. This is not a state by state reg. It's DOT. National. Also makes a difference in insurance. This is why for many years there have been 10k derated trucks. In some states, personal registrations change over 10k, but that is a different subject.

No, a FL trucker told me that. I have no idea lol but I just looked it up. This is for the state of FL The Florida CDL requirement can be found in section 322.54, Florida Statutes. The following persons are required to have a CDL: Any person who drives a motor vehicle combination having a gross vehicle weight rating or gross vehicle weight of 26,001 pounds or more must possess a valid Class A driver license, if the gross vehicle weight rating or gross vehicle weight of the vehicle being towed is more than 10,000 pounds

@@motorlane89 that CDL 26/10 requirement applies to every state because it's federally regulated. Stop being confused. The 10k requirement that you're reading applies to commercial trailers with GCW or GCWR over 26k. It in no way applies to the 10k administrative derate of your truck, or to the 10k GVWR threshold for commercial DOT requirements.

Got 295/70 r18 on my 2021 Trail Boss same offset as your wheels and I cut the mud flap and removed the mudflap bracket and now it fits great. Ton of room. No level and no lift. The mud flap bracket takes up a ton of room.

The alternator on the truck is "energy efficient" and will not charge at full capacity if your battery doesn't need it. It's covered in your owners manual. I learned this the same way you did. I was looking at it and noticed it moves around a lot then I found out that it’s normal lol

It is very common for an Infiniti and Nissan to have options that a lot of cars don't have still to this day. They're older cars Nissan in Infiniti cars even have better options
