Whenever I look at Utah I see all the growth around Salt Lake City. Will places like St George ever get massive universities and infrastructure? It seems that many people have been moving there, but it doesn't have the economic possibilities bigger cities enjoy
@malissakelschАй бұрын
Thanks for watching. We do have Dixie Tech which is a trade and technical college. We also have Utah Tech University, formerly Dixie State University. We are growing and getting new businesses and big companies moving to the area.
@Jose-sy1jeАй бұрын
@@malissakelsch You think there will be bigger universities there in the future? Whenever I look at Utah the entire population center seems to be around Salt Lake City. I'm looking for a place with the necessary infrastructure that offers the possibilities bigger cities do. Not sure if St George will get there.

Californians ruined Ivins. You were able to get a home for 130 to 190k. Those same homes go for 550k to 650k. But thats ok, right?

I ordered a window glass from Todd and from start to finish I was very happy. When the glass arrived I took my window to Jones Paint and glass for installation of the glass and they immediately got on the renew glass process. Boy, glad I found them and I will continue to stay with them. During the installation process I did a few errands and the window was ready, thank you Todd.Folks!, nice people there.

Same crappy, huge houses no one in their right mind would ever need, ever. I wouldn't buy any of these homes if I had an infinite amount of money, it's just the same crappy house in the US it's just bigger so it's somehow supposed to be better.. Home builders and realtors are so completely out of touch with what 99.9% of home owners want and need. Just once I'd like to see a builder make a sensible, reasonable sized and functional home that isn't build with friggin plywood and plastic
@RustProofHero4 ай бұрын
You clearly aren’t in your right mind, it’s great that you know what 99.9% of home owners want and need! You should build homes, and don’t use plywood and plastic in your builds for sure! Do some research and learn what products go into building a home, before loosing your mind on the internet. 🤐

I can't agree more. This to me simply screams of inequity. I have seen some REALLY nice chalet-style homes that are 1200 sq feet or less, where the dining, living, and kitchen areas are all part of a central great room. It makes so much more sense than other designs, and feels open and inviting. Beaver Homes makes some that are pretty cool. Why aren't we building more homes this way?

We've been wanting to leave Colorado for a while. Back in October I mentioned St. George to my wife as a possible new place to move to. We took a trip out there in early November and fell in love. We grabbed a sandwich and ate it in Harmon's. Earlier this month we made a trip to find a place to rent while our Colorado home was on the market. A new listing in Ivins popped up on Zillow while we were there. We contacted an agent to have it shown to us. It was the place. We went home and worked with loan people in St. George to create a bridge loan. We got approved. We made an offer on the home and it was accepted. We will be moving to Ivins. Everybody we've met in the area has been wonderful.

Isn't it kinda California style foolish having all that green space with the water situation being what it is there? The Virgin river is the ONLY source of water. If it dries up, that's it. It's not a big river and severely limits the amount of growth that area can endure.
@malissakelsch Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. We do have other water sources of water. Virgin river is one of the main sources. Some communities have their own well and water. We do live in the desert and are one of the fastest towns for growth in the nation. We all have to be smart about our water.

Is there activities for teenagers in St. George
@malissakelsch Жыл бұрын
Yes! The city rec center has basketball, racquetball, weights, pool tables and more. The city pool has a hydro tube slide. There is mini golf, go carts and batting cages. Hiking and over 60 miles of biking trails. Skim boarding and floating at the river. Parks. Laser tag and indoor mini golf. Pottery. Just to name a few.
