Thank you, great video. I finally see everything clearly. Now back to my loom. Wish I had not sold my book 😐

I am sorry what? I do not understand. I have watched this video over and over and over and I do not see how this is explanatory, or detailed at all. You talk about 13 pattern threads but you actually have 47+ threads on the loom (x2 because you apparently have doubled each thread). So I am trying to figure out why you have 4 or more black threads (back grounds) in a row. but you say don't touch them - then you touch them again. You rushed through this, back tracked, repeated, and back tracked again. your thread colors do not match your graphics. Please remake this video. Please match the yarn color to the graphic so those of us who appear dumb can grasp what you are actually saying - right now I am about to snip all the yarns and chuck this $200 loom in the bin. I am the opposite of encouraged.

Merci

I think you'll find that the word is asterisk, not asterix. He is a creation of a French cartoonist. Asterix the Gaul!

It's really distressing when people purport to teach but consistently use the wrong terminology. The warp is made of threads or endings, not strings and the ends are held in leashes, not heddles.

I watched this video many times and I still can't get pattern threads in the place. There is something I am not doing right. And my other question is how do I get 7 pattern threads on unheddle thread ? Do I unheddle the first thread while warpping? (unheddle/heddle threads?)

I week ago I asked this question and I figured it out. I added an extra unheddled pattern and background threads. I worked. I just need to practice weaving. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial.

Very helpful and explanatory video, speaking as someone who knows enough to get a pick-up pattern started but was having a bit of trouble internalizing how to read the charted pattern. I was getting it, but had to think hard about every row. I'm understanding the charts now.

It didn’t help that you couldn’t see what treads were huddled and which ones were not huddled and how that reflects in the written pattern it got cut off by the video edge And you did not explain how to reflect the pattern onto the weaving. It was too a matter of fact. Not useful

I wish someone would do a video on *how* to warp this. I'm on my third attempt, and it still isn't right. I have the same book, and I've been trying to learn from it and youtube videos, but I don't undestand how to get the colors on the bottom and the top to work right. I just can't vidualize it. I do so much better when I see it done, but all the videos focus on after the looms already been warped. I feel like, from watching this and reading the book, I could figure out how to do thr weave if I only knew how to warp the loom!

@@teresapendino1357 I know what you are saying. Three weeks ago I hand no idea how to warp properly for baltic style pattern. At the beginning of Rachel's video she showed a little bit on how to warp on heddled and non-heddled threads. That is the important part. If you have Inkle Pattern Directory by Anne Dixon she has very good instructions on warping process for baltic style pattern. I finally got it right this very beautiful pattern. It took me long long time to figure it out. Good luck and don't give up. It is relaxing and see the beautiful results satsifaction feelings.

5:25 - u have the diagram there with 2 lines - first is what u should have on front (up) and the second line is what should be in the back - at least this is how I understand it... those bigger places are where she has double white pattern thread. I've noticed that on this chart there are missing boarded threads ( up and back) on both sides...on the movie it looks like she has at least 3 of them....

I am looking for how to warp also. No-one shows how to warp. Starts weaving in middle doesn't help beginners.

And my other question was sorry I forgot to put it in there on the warp mine says 3x2 /16 so does this mean I have to have a 16 strands of thread on my warp and the 3x2 is that how long my yard has to be then for my weft that would be the thread that is on my shadows that and it says 3x2/16 and that's how long it has to be in in the pattern The boxes that are on the outside of the red arrows I cannot find those in the book what do those mean

My question for you is I have the same book that you were just looking in and the pattern that you shown on page 77 there was two patterns to have the top one in the bottom one do those two patterns all go to gather or is it a choice you can either do the top pad route are the bottom pattern that's where I get confused so would you please let me know i if those two patterns go together on page 77 or are they separate
