All due respect to Keith, and the wonderful music he made, but this is embarrassing. I had to turn it off.

FYI: the Hammond was electro-mechanical. The various key pitches were generated by magnetic tone wheels on a revolving steel shaft, driven by an electric motor and a chain drive. So if you moved the organ, the whole setup would speed up and slow down. And the crashing sound was caused by him banging the spring based reverb inside the organ as well. I own an old Hammond, and the inside is crazy! Full of vacuum tubes, a TON of wires (every key has NINE switches!), and even an oiling system for the mechanical parts.

That very first chord isn't what's written. Do you have the set of parts from the session? It was probably something that they worked out on the date. Thanks for making these and sharing them. Your work is crystal clear.

I have 3 questions. 1) Is Vince Noir Keith Emerson's love child? 2) Was a Keith Emerson proof Hammond ever created? 3) If not, is it because it wouldnt have sold because Emerson wouldnt buy one and no one trips balls like that generation?
