What are we so proud of? These people talk like they use resources for their own selfish needs. I have many friends in IITs who say "why work for country, when it doesn't do anything for us. In the end what matters is your life." How selfish. And for some reason they don't matter mind saying it out.

Time has come to stop over gloryfing the IITians who goes abroad to work without contributing anything to India . they study at a subsidy that's taxpayer's money and go abroad for their personal benefits. govt must make at least 3 years service in home country before they could work abroad Such policy is in practice in countries like Japan , US, France etc have . we want India to be creators and not only the consumers that the west wants us to be .

For all those who are asking IITians to stay in India, let me answer you.. 1) Only a small percentage of IIT students get foreign placements. Yes. Only a small fraction of them. 2) You're asking that they should work for the country. Do you idiot shitheads know that India exports arms rather than trying to develop it's own indigenous tech? Why would someone who worked his ass off work in Government just to copy what others are making? 3) Do you know the number of Doctors from the Medical Colleges that leave the country? And do you know what fee do they pay? Less than 10000Rs an year. IITians pay over 2 lac. Why don't you ask them to stay as well? We need doctors more desperately than engineers. Mind it. 4) If I'm working 14 hours a day during my preparation and get just 4-5 hrs of sleep in my college time, I expect a good outcome. But the Indian Government doesn't offer me that outcome. Why would I work for a meagre software company that makes small and cheap products when I am trained to work and compete against the best in the world? Give us opportunity and we will stay. 5) Ever heard of corruption? Nepotism? Almost all the engineers in LDA, BMC etc are inefficient and untrained. How did they get there? Nepotism. Any idea how much they earn? Corruption. Get your facts right and stop bitching about others.

All foreigners thought MIT or Stanford or CMU are the best.. but as an Indian i think that IIT is our MIT and IIT is our Stanford and IIT is our CMU and not the same it is much more and there is no comparison between IIT and their "TOP Universities"
