I am still a casual enjoyer of Shad, though I stay clear of his second channel, I am a pretty conservative guy but to me he doesn't offer much interesting critique compared to some of his compatriots like Mauler and Critical Drinker. I don't think his political takes are hurting him that much though, he does a good enough job keeping his more political opinions off his main channel, so if your like me who doesn't care what someones personal politics are and just looking to be entertained then its a non issue. Honestly I don't think Shad has "Fallen off" persay I think its more so he is reaching a limit in topics that he can cover, because when you look to other channels like Skallagrim who has a similar size their performance in general it equilivant and Skallagrim as far as I am aware is not as political as Shad has become. I think just like so many, his audiance is just starting to leave him naturally and so now he is trying to jump over to a new ship which is media criticism and since a lot of his youtube friends are anti woke he is trying it out as well, the sad thing is his friends are more tactful in dismanteling entertainment. They might yell "Look at this woke bullshit" but at the very least they can back up what they say with strong decent critsisim which he just isn't able to do nearly as well.

Thank you for explaining the problems, Obi. Oftentimes, I get so swept up in having a good time, that I tend not to notice these things outside of a nagging feeling on the back of my neck that something might be wrong. This is the third (I think) time for me in which waiting for The Fox was a massive ballache. They don't have properly organised ticketing. I go to the website a few nights before (bit disorganised on my part, I know but I really wasn't sure as to whether or not I would be going to Con at all, this May) and find that the Saturday tickets are sold out. Sucks.jpg. I talk to someone in line that says there were tickets available a short while ago and that they got them (I think). OK, TBH, I don't really remember what they said but I do remember it was about tickets and that it was outrageously inconsistent with what they were advertising. I decided "Fuck it." and to just hang around the line, getting whatever social interaction I could out of whoever was there with cosplays I found interesting. Eventually, I moved on and went to the green outside the ExCeL Centre grounds and Tesco and had some fun with the people who had decided to have an impromptu party of sorts. It was nice. Bit chilly with evening air and darkening skies but I met some JJK cosplayers and had a nice chat about it and other things! Eventually, I returned to the line. It had reduced. And then YOU were there! It was awesome meeting you for the first time! Thanks for the handshake and those selfies! I met an MCM legend! After that (I think), I left to catch the train home. Nothing left to do. And then, just as the train arrives, my cousin tells me that they started letting people without tickets in. Decided "Fuck it." once more and returned before I had even stepped onto the train. Had a fun time! (After yet another wait for some reason!). I don't like that security feel the need to confiscate my food and drink (which was basically bread and water). I even saw you again in there! You were leaving at that point. Had I not arsed around and had an enjoyable experience elsewhere, as well as waited for the train to take the time it took to arrive, I would not have entered The Fox this year. Too close for comfort for my taste. MCM/ExCeL/The Fox need to do better.

I was going to suggest the Death Mark series! For anyone that wants the series, Its Death Mark, NG, and Death Mark 2. There are some... Suggestive art scenes but over all its a good game if you want body horror. The first game has DLC that adds one more chapter but a scene's art from that was cut from some releases

So my first Mcm was October of 2011 that year they had Warner brothers promoting Arkham city, there was saints row who had a booth where they handed out bobble heads of characters (I remember getting Johnny Gat). You had booths like rooster teeth And I even remember there was an entire room dedicated to cars from movies and some from TV. To be honest the day felt like what I had envisioned a comic con to be like so when I returned in may of 2012 I decided to go in cosplay. Now I remember the convention being just as amazing as the year before, however my biggest problem was the security (who for some reason where stationed on every entrance and exit, so if you wanted to go into the N side of things you had to queue up at N2 for a security guard to see your wrist band and yell in your bloody ear, then you had to queue up at N6 just to get out to queue back up again just to see what was in the S side starting at S2 and another exit being at S6.)and the fact they held the comic con event on the same day as Britain next top model meant the central part was packed with comic con attendee's and britains next top model fans, who had no idea was going on, all crammed together. On the outside it wasn't any better because the green was being used as a finish line for what seemed to be a London triathlon. Like I said though the security was the worst part that day. I remember asking a guard if I could return through N6 was because I needed to withdraw some cash to pay for a photo from a booth I'd been too, to which he said "yeah sure, just come up and talk to me and I'll let you through"... Anyway I had to queue at this cash point for nearly 45 minutes, of course I went back and talked to that same security guard who told me "nah we're closed now... Fuck off" but while I was there i saw them rugby tackle some poor guy who had lost his phone and was trying to recover it from a stall that had received it, they told someone who was having a panic attack because they had lost their carer to go piss off because they where annoying them, they also told someone who also needed to get back through to go get themselves a happy meal and cheer up for once. Honestly the security that year was god awful. (A sentiment that I've noticed hasn't really changed with any year you go to MCM.) I would say that having the whole excel is much better but I don't trust reed pop to not oversell tickets and turn that place into one big human crush... Ive still continued to go over the years and i would say that the last time it was ever truly great was the year of the fair ground rides, it felt like after that though the convention feeling had changed and for some reason MCM just feels very empty now or the stalls are just unispiring. I still will probably continue to attend bust some days i dont even purchase a ticket now sometimes if i do cosplay i stay outside now to still have the vibe of a convention

@@Avatar_Obi that's the issue reed pop advertises MCM for the masses now. I mean I get thats the whole thing with a business is getting the masses in, but I feel like they advertise MCM to casual fans, the types that watch 1 super hero movie and think they are now comic book guy. That feeling of fans coming together to geek out about favourite shows, movies, comics and such feels like it's gone now. It's a sentiment shared by others I know too like when a friend of mine dressed as the hobgoblin from spiderman and every Spiderman he ran into had no idea who the character was even though hobgoblin has been a big part in TV shows or comics, the fact that he has yet to appear in an MCU movie meant the casual fans just gave vacant expressions towards his character. It's a shame really...

Nice video. There have been times where I have wondered how people with certain disabilities approach gaming. To add on to games that have good accessibility features I think Minecraft does a pretty good job of including them. They got the ability for subtitles, a narrator that narrates what is happening on screen, fully customizable controls, auto jump, auto run, and probably more honestly. Not to mention they can all be easily accessed via the accessibilities menu.

Literally last year, didnt attend this year, they closed off the accessibility entrance to the green and told me (with my walking stick) to use the stairs because my walking stick could be a prop and i didn't look disabled. I almost launched at the guy. It was so overcrowded too. Couldnt move inside or outside and ended up with heat stroke because i couldn't retreat anywhere that didn't require a ticket and had seats.

I remember one year I was attending with a friend who is disabled and uses mobility aids He was allowed to use the front doors for re-entry, which was good, cause regular re-entry was at the complete opposite end of the Excel in those days The problem was that security wouldn't let anyone else re-enter with him, so we would have to separate for a good 10-15 each time so we could walk to the far end and then fight our way through the crowd to get back to the front doors to meet him Just one of the many, many, many issues with security I had over the years

I am a bit of a maniac and will always try and rebind games to WASD and mouse and there was a period where a few of my laptop's keyboard keys just stopped working. Through that I see so many of the holes in keybindings and autohotkey has become a staple of my gaming experience. (I say "period of time" but those keys are all still broken lol; I merely bought an external keyboard). On another video touching on this issue, I heard that an accessibility feature the souls games lack are subtitles for non-dialogue sounds, so you can say know when an offscreen enemy is coming for you. Minecraft's subtitles are of course the gold standard for how to address that issue. On cluttered HUDs, the less there is on your HUD the more immersive the game is--something that benefits all players. During my Rune Level 1 run I fought Morgott without the HUD just to see what it was like and it was quite the experience: just me and him, doing the dance of combat (I lament that I only stated recording my kills with Malenia).

People view accessibility through the lens that it only benefits disabled people and they can't see past they in how it can help improve their gaming experience too. It's like they were taught to just hate the word itself for no reason.

Thank you. Time and time again I've seen the "accessibility" arguement in regards to Souls games and it's always felt so disingenuous when it's clear they just want an easier game and don't actually care about practical ways for disabled gamers to enjoy these experiences. I also never finished the Witcher 3 as it just felt like a grind. More to the curb cut effect, the full button remapping is highly useful for the dueling community as they can perform certain actions slightly more consistently/optimally.

I honestly believe it should be an industry standard, there are so many games advertised as AAA premium experiences that have next to nothing in the settings outside of turning subtitles on.

Accessability is so important for videogames. If you don't feel like you need ''hand holding'' or ''easy mode'' don't use it. It's really that simple, theres nothing about acessability features that is bad for anyone especially when games let you control them.

Great video, I like how you explain that accesibility isn't the same as an easy mode and an easy mode isn't accesibility because I see those 2 terms a lot when people discuss an easy mode for these games when in reality those aren't the same

Just came across your reddit post about this. Very apt and well-articulated points. I'm a console gamer that plays plenty of shooters, including ones from a couple of console generations ago that basically use Halo's alternate control-preset method (lefty, bumper jumper etc.). So I really feel that annoyance at the lack of options beyond control schemes that make me feel like the game thinks I'm stupid because I don't have a keyboard and mouse. If that makes any sense. I'm still not sure if the Master Chief Collection for example has fully remappable controls like Infinite (from the last time I played, I don't remember it being the case). I'm glad most modern games (especially indies, which I feel tend to take acceptability seriously) have full button remapping. But plenty still don't. To Sony's credit, several of their major IPs have extensive accessibility features that kind of set the bar. Xbox has unique controllers as well (though they're more expensive, which is saying something). I know there's least one games I flat out stopped playing because I couldn't get over the limited control options: Doom (2016). After 100+ hours in Doom Eternal first, the flat reduction in options was a deal breaker.

In all honesty it really should be an industry standard and it's shocking how many games we consider to be AAA experiences lack such a basic feature.
