Insane quality... corresponding to the investment I suppose... A huge thanks, I did hear that recording as a part of some documentary, was looking for it for years.........

I feel pity for all the morons pointing mistakes and saying that a 7 years old plays better. You should just get a midi version and enjoy your tik tok life❤🤖

What a treasure. A lyrical moment that unfolds through timelessness. So beautiful. No artifice, nothing performative. Just straight from his elevated heart, shared now with us so long after his death. What a gift. No wonder Menuhin respected him above all others. Thank you for posting this.

Gorgeous playing. Out of this world. The only Violinist who could match tthis is David Nadien with his magnificent vibrato.🥀

Gitlis' interpretations might be dirty off the rocker, like l'enfant terible he was. But they come back to haunt me every single time. I can not escape his music. He takes the piece from the composer and reinvents it in terrible but so sincere and deeply emotional way that draws tears. I am forever chained to his music. Forever. There is no escape. There is no escape.

Its such a tragedy Hassid had such horrific struggles with mental health and died so young…those recordings of him at 17 are unbelievably incredible. I can only imagine how amazing he would’ve been if he had lived on and continued playing.
