Well done on your part in displaying what to do and what not to do for pre-labor, during labor, and after labor process. Some interfere too much that can cause potential problems and it is important to be well informed and educated for a successful outcome. Two of the common errors of interfering is pulling the foal out too quickly where the foal is at risk of being a "dummy foal" a term used when the nervous system of the foal didn't get long enough time in the transition stage in the birth canal that wakes up the foal's nervous system and also the pressure needed to squeeze out the amniotic fluid in the lungs. Also pulling the foal can put the foal's joints at risk of dislocating, along with putting the mare's uterus at risk of prolapsing and internal taring. The other common error is interfering too much after the foal is born in imprinting when the foal and mare need the time to bond. You did a fantastic job walking through the entire process!

Thank you for not being one of those idiots that pulls the foal out and manhandles the foal and rubs them all over with a towel.

They don't pull the foal out. People just hold the foal's front legs so it won't go inside again
