This was the best part of the display show from what I have seen, the rest was a total let down from here far as I can tell. Their use of the display was cheesy, cheap and amateurish, not psychedelic at any point. Not much of an experience beyond the music, which was mostly good as usual. Glad I saw The Dead back in the 00's at Bonarroo but wish I would have went to see a show in the 80's or early 90's before Jerry died, never had a good opportunity

It isn't just the sick visuals, but the sound system is the best ever created. It is so advanced that they can actually direct different sound to different sections of the room. So for instance, let's assume there is a presenter on stage speaking, and there are people in each section from different countries. They could have section 401 be people from France, and they would only hear the presenter speaking in French. The people in section 402 would not be able to hear the French at all, and instead would hear it in another language, like Spanish or English. It uses beam forming technology that can target specific sound waves to only be audible in certain parts of the room. What this means for a concert, is there are no bad spots in the room for sound, everyone gets the exact same mix. Plus, if the artist wanted to, it opens up the possibility to do some really cool crowd participation tricks, being able to speak specifically to certain parts of the room without the rest of the room hearing it.

The Grateful Dead was a band that came after WWII and Vietnam. A time of peace. These people never had to face anything. I’m guessing it’s why they lack a sense of reverence

Learn some history. The Vietnam War was very much ongoing when the Dead started performing. So your guess is baloney and has nothing to back it up.

They have not been called the Grateful Dead for over 20 years and of course Johnny is no Jer and you know what Jer is no Johnny. It is a fine group of musicians including 2 original members that play their asses off. No its not like 77, or 84 or 89-91 its 2024 St Stephen.

Hi, would an un-preamped acoustic (under the bridge) fishman piezo pick power the OC5? TIA
@kidarcade6 ай бұрын
To be perfectly honest: I dont know. But I think it works better (or only works) with a magnetic Pickup. I use the active LR Baggs A1 pickup (because i tend to play pretty intense live and this one works in all situations). A friend once told me that the OC5 did not work with his classical guitar with a piezo. But i really dont know. Sorry.
