The best answer right now is butler creek iris sac lense combo. Look up diy tarsier. I do not recommend punching a hole in the creek cap, when used with an iris, because the focal length is off and fov gets cut off.

Any idea why they include anti-seize with the package? I imagine it’s for mounting an adapter but like you said, wouldn’t threadlocker (such as Rocksett) be more appropriate?

Their instructions say to use the anti seize for the direct thread mount and torque it down

The heated water is what loosens Rocksett, not vibrations.

It’s water and vibrations. Max temp of rocksett is too high for boiling water to make a difference

@@rocketcityanalytics Thats not why we use boiling water though. Rocksett is water soluble. Boiling the water makes metals slightly expand allowing the water to seep into the areas of the rocksett

Again… the heating and expansion of the metal and the hot water dissolving the Rocksett is what loosens it. You could use cold water , if you wanted soak it for far longer, but hot water works faster. Vibrations do zero to help.

I bought a few Aimpoint PROs for $385 brand new quite a few years ago. It helps having a "Tactical Gun Shop" 300 yards up the road from my rural Ohio home and being good neighbors with this tactical gun shop. It was a sad day five years ago when this "Tactical Gun Shop" packed everything up and moved to a building that he had built as an indoor shooting range in a city 16 miles away. My big discount also moved with that gun shop but hell I still have an Aimpoint PRO still in the box, and could possibly go on my next AR build/purchase even though I have too many AR platform rifles as my wife seems to think but I tell her the same thing when it comes to ammo and gun parts "It IS IMPOSSIBLE to have too many guns, ammo and parts"

@@cameron3525 The jig is up. Everybody knows Comp M3s are great and now they sell closer to M4 prices than Pro prices. Pro is still king for its price range.

Its bevause you have 762×39 in a ar platform. If it was an AK platform, it.wouldnt have those problems

before you EVER start painting your surface, paint something like the backside of the box, but before you do that, hold the can upside and push the nozzle for a couple seconds to clear it out, make sure you shake WELL, turn can both ways, 60 seconds each. And dont buy cheap spray paint, it sucks
