Do you use high rubber boots hunting in the hills? I'm considering going to a light weight water proof boot for that type of hunting.

I wouldn't tell anyone to try or do something I wouldn't do. Over a year and a half ago I started a carnivore diet to not only lose weight but also help with Joint pain, inflammation, major digestive issues etc. It's worked very well. I've lost 90lbs since starting carnivore and over 100 since getting into lower carb eating. The only reason I mention this is that I've read about and heard a lot from folks who say a ketogenic or carnivore diet drastically reduces or eliminates long term symptoms of Lyme in their body. Something to think about anyways. Sounds counterintuitive but many claim it has worked for them.

iv thought the same thing Beau. "Im not going over there where i seen him i dont wanna bump him out." but hearing you say it makes it sound so dumb, nothing personal. just why wouldnt we go over there? we seen him there we should be going over there. thank you for saying that. sometimes you just gotta hear someone else say it out loud.

Might be a little overkill but when I put them in spots I know other people might be in a 2 or 3 step aider lets me get my feet 6-7ft off the ground, and then I can put the camera up another 6-7 ft. No one looks for cameras 14ft up in the tree lol.

Have you had any issues with the timber ninja sticks making noise and you having to constantly tighten everything down? I love those sticks but it only takes a handful of hunts before they start making a creeking/popping noise. Switched back to the beast sticks this year because of it

I've found depending on the temperature that the steps will swell or shrink (reason for redesign coming), but a simple fix is removing the steps and putting one layer of electrical tape between step and tube. Shouldn't have to do that, but that's eliminated all problems for me going on two years.

I think the Adirondacks may have been a little undersold on difficulty to go bowhunting lol. But would love to see Paul tackle it, more ppl just try to hunt it in general really. Superr low deer densities, lower buck numbers, no cuts, vast mature timber high mountains, some areas no oaks. It’s hard huntin, but great if you like to challenge yourself. Anyways, Great podcast. 👍

I grew up hunting a lease down in Mingo county with a 130" minimum on bucks. As a kid, I remember it being so painful to sit in the stand and have to watch a 110" 8 point walk right on by me while I was still waiting to shoot my first buck. It's been a while since I've made it down to the southern 4 to hunt, but this video and listening to your podcasts about your experience down there has reignited my desire to hunt this rugged terrain. I'm preparing for an elk hunt in Montana next year, so I'm excited to learn a little more about spot and stalk hunting this fall by hunting the public land in Logan and Mingo counties. Thanks for highlighting the beauty and quality of deer right here in WV!

Awesome video , thankyou so much for this video super helpful. I’m a self taught hunter and hunt the east hills of pa . I haven’t hunted in 15 years bought a new home up in the mountains an my goal was to take a buck. Got back in the saddle an fell back in love with hunting archery mainly, shot my nice 8 pointer last year escouted to the best of what I know which isn’t much but this put a huge perspective on what I need to do more. Very similar stuff to where I hunt.

More and more I’m thinking they are often within sight, sound, possible thermals of a particular scrape. Heard a few times people finding scrapes. Peeing in them or maybe setting a camera only for a buck to come in and bust them as he heard the racket.

Love my Timber Ninja Ultimate, the safety and OSHA Fall Restraint testing cert was HUGE for my purchase. What you spoke about around the 3:40min & 8:50min mark is probably 90% of why I went with TN. The testing, safety certifications and quality justifies the price. Nothing is perfect, wish your side pouches where larger, zippers sometimes are not single hand function, The uni harness which I really wanted has been "in production" for years about given up on ever seeing that. The mud flap I really like, I actually put my 30' of rappel rope there. For a back lumber pouch I'm running Marsupial Gear Lumbar Pack - RANGER GREEN to the top panel molly row PERFECT storage plenty of space. The saddle stays up with no problem on hikes up to 6 miles. Over all great saddle save up for safety go home to our family so we can do what we love for years to come.
@BeauMartonik
@BeauMartonik 6 күн бұрын
Hey Brad, thank you!! Really appreciate that. I hadn't heard of anyone using the mudlfap for carrying rappel rope, but that's a good idea! You should email us a picture of your setup. I want to see what it looks like! [email protected] As far as the uni harness goes, I totally understand your frustration. We've been trying to be transparent and show everyone what we are working on before it's done. When we would think we would have it perfect, we kept finding little things that we wanted to change, which slowed things down drastically, and once it was finished, production costs went through the roof. Not making excuses, but we're just a 3 man team doing it part-time trying to figure out how to get the costs down and shouldn't have been as optimistic as we were with timelines. Our fault and a learning lesson for sure! Thanks for supporting us!

Excellent breakdown of three different options from Timber Ninja 🥷 🌳. I really like the feature sets on the two newer ones and even the Black Belt 🥋 one would be easier to use than the Eberhart Special Edition that I have. Being that this fall will be my first year hunting deer 🦌 in Ohio now that I am a resident and I want to hunt bear 🐻 in PA this year too, I would love to get elevated at times.

I totally understand where you're coming from. Our goal is to make extremely safe, lightweight, durable, and innovate saddles in the USA. Now seeing what that looks like from the inside, it's crazy to see how expensive that is to do. Cost of materials, hefty insurance prices, testing, etc. all adds up quick. We understand that our products aren't for everyone, but don't want to make a subpar product that causes problems. There are plenty of budget friendly options out there, as long as that is your expectation out of the product, as well. Appreciate the comment!
