He's so damn proud of this young prodigy, who showed up on his doorstep with instrument in hand - the young Australian phenom, Tal Wilkenfeld. AND - who wouldn't be ?

If anyone is interested I recently transcribed/tabbed out Tal's bass solo note-for-note by slowing it down to 50% speed and replaying each lick dozens (if not hundreds) of times. You can find it (for free) by going to the Ultimate Guitar Tabs site and searching for "Cause Weve Ended As Lovers Live Bass by Jeff Beck" I have tried posting direct links to the tab before in KZfaq comments but I think they've been marked as spam and blocked. But just searching for the tab on the UG site using that description should work.

I can't say he's my favorite player all time because I can't pick just one. But from a dynamics perspective, without question my definite favorite.

Every time I watch this, I get major goosebumps. Tall ripping on the bass... And of course, Jeff. As a guitarist myself, Jeff Beck was one of the best. If not, the best. Only certain players like Jeff Healey, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, David Gilmore, Hendrix, BB & Albert King will ever give you this amazing feeling of true blues talent/magic. It's only if they are from another entity. I just know I am truly glad they're so many videos of my hero's shredding I'll never get desperate for motivation. Thank you, Jeff and my hero's, for always shredding the hell out of the guitar every night on and on again. RIP JEFF BECK 1944-2023 <3 ....
