I was just there 2 days ago and it was fabulous! Be careful of the reefs, they will cut you good if you touch them.

Luau’s are a total rip off and the food is at best mediocre. There’s only so much fire dancing you can watch in an evening without losing the will to live. Total tourist trap. Over priced and quite frankly boring.

First of all I love your videos! However staying 10 minutes away from the beach is not my idea of luxury like you say the Ritz has! I have stayed at a few of these on the list! None can hold a candle to the Outrigger Reef ', the absolute best in Waikiki!

Another one I'd HIGHLY recommend, if you have the budget for it, is the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour! We did one last month on the Big Island and it was spectacular!!!! We had Toshi as our pilot and he was top notch.

Great video! My wife and I will be visiting for our 3rd time over spring break next year. We always spend a few days staying over on the north shore and a few days in Waikiki. Crazy question - where did you get that polo Hawaiian shirt? I love it.
@TheHawaiiVacationGuide23 сағат бұрын
Have a great spring break trip! Thanks for watching. The polo is from Kahala. They make more than Aloha Shirts!

That whole "all beaches are public " still irks me that when my family attempted to go see manta point on the Big Island, we got turned away twice because of high surf. Just felt like that wasnt really the case and we never got to see that beach. I think its the Mauna Kea that has the security guard. 😢
@coasttocoastadventureswith86593 күн бұрын
We weren't about to try going in the water, we just wanted to see that beach.

The Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island has been the hardest for us. Security Guards say the public lot is full but we’ve been at the gate at 7am. Locals leave reviews saying they have had similar issues.

Is there a better time of day to book this tour (morning vs afternoon)? Does the weather (temp or rain) come into play?
@TheHawaiiVacationGuide3 күн бұрын
Aloha Cheryl, it is a rainy part of the island so rain happens. Not a big deal. I don't think the time of day matters. Go in the late morning when it is a little warmer. It will by 75 by 8am!

Public batrooms are not plentiful. Stop when you can. Don't wait until you have to.

@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide We found out the hard way, but we got lucky. The first time we stopped, we saw a stand. They didn't have a bathroom - even though we were willing to buy something. However, there was a park attached - where you could go in for $20 apiece and use the bathroom there. Climbed back into the car and found a place a few miles down the road. We all made it in time. So, after that, we stopped. Sone areas have incredible views of the ocean coast, so it was worth the stop.

Road to Hana!!! Lots of waterfalls. Scenery. Bathrooms a bit short in supply. Stop when you can, not when you have to.

Was in Hawaii in Dec 23. Stayed on Maui and the Big Island. Had a wonderful time. Didn't want to leave. On Maui, looking to fill some time, visit the Aquarium. Also, don't feed the chickens.
