My thoughts on the examples you have posted: *The Hungarian Prints of Inspector Gadget are rather interesting; in that they use the Audio of the Cookie Jar Logo, but actually keep the original DIC Logos and even the added/plasteted Saban Entertainment Logos (who used to distribute the DIC Library until 2006), all the while being in HD as well. My suspicion is that the Hungarian Distributor of Wildbrain's content (perhaps even Wildbrain themselves) simply remastered (to HD) the local prints they had of DIC's shows, but somehow did a really half-assed job of logo plastering during this process. I wonder why they didn't simply obtain Remastered HD Prints from the United States instead? *The fanfare of the 1974-1977 CPT Logo goes surprisingly well with the 1982-1993 CPT Logo. *To my knowledge, 20th Century Fox was never involved with the distribution of Escape to Victory. So I really don't know how their fanfare ended up on that particular print of the film. *I believe thats the first time I've seen a botched attempt to plaster the 1963-1965 Screen Gems Logo with the 1983-1993 CPT Logo.

I wonder if it was cheaper to buy the dubbed soundtrack and add it to their existing prints than get entirely new prints. I've seen this before but usually its the other way around - for example, a remastered print of Rawhide continued to use the old dub track, so you could hear the Viacom logo's soundtrack playing over the CBS Television Network card.
@MrSmith1984
@MrSmith1984 3 күн бұрын
@@Luke2505 I've also come across prints where it's clear that while the print itself was remastered, the soundtrack comes from a different source (the studio logo themes are often the biggest giveaway of this). Here is the thing though; if Wildbrain's Hungarian Distributors did indeed make the effort to Remaster their own local prints to a HD Standard (rather than source new HD Prints from North America), why not simply reuse the same (Hungarian Dubbed) soundtrack as before? The only possible answer (as far as I'm aware) is that a New Hungarian Dub was created alongside this HD Remastering Process. Hence why the Cookie Jar Theme ended up getting added in the process. Regardless; answering your original question, I have good reason to believe it would have been cheaper to simply source New HD Prints from North America. Especially if they were going to create a New Hungarian Dub anyway.

I feel that the CPT Plaster of the Screen Gems Television Logo (on The Donna Rein Show) is probably the worst logo plastering of all time.

This and anytime that the 1994 or 1989 fanfares are on the 2008-now logo (hello, X Files reruns) are the best plasters in 20th history.

I’d agree with most of the choices but the v of happiness is much worse than the v of doom imo, since it’s just boring. In fact I think the v of doom is actually decent it’s just not as good in comparison since Viacom’s got a great track record. And special delivery is my favourite. Just the colourful animation and effects just look really great and I enjoy the powerful music.

@@Luke2505 You might be right since the "Big Blue S" Logo (which involved phasing out the Grampian Television Name altogether) was actually introduced in 2006. Although it's strange how this logo wasn't previously seen in a 2006-2007 programme until now.
