Moore did a great job when he came in to cover for Hirst. But Hirst is our main man up top and we play better with him in the team because of what he offers regarding linking play and mobility.

Can you do analysis of: K.Thuram (Nice) & Y.Fofana (Monaco)? Both have always been linked around Europe, and are expected to leave. Also, keep up the good work. Always enjoying your content everyday.

Lost me at john stones being the best in the world at anything 🫥 the guys only just got bk in the team consistantly the last couple seasons, was a bench warmer before that
@Zedders3 күн бұрын
Think that's a very harsh assessment of him. He has a very niche quality as a centre back that he excels at more than anyone. Was in the team of the season about 3/4 years ago too. Literally said in the video that he's just "good" as a CB but there's no denying he has at least a couple world class qualities about him
@Niggleblade19863 күн бұрын
@@Zedders hes 100% nt the best in the world at anything. Good player, yes. Infact better than good. But if we keep it 100, he was brought 50mil and flopped and benched. Hes only became a mainstay last couple seasons. Rest of the video is on point, bt i had issue with that. And i rate him as a player. Just like grealish, baller bt done absolutely nothing this year

@@Zedders 18,16,14 games in the prem. For your main defender thats nt good stats. So hes been on n off every other year. I might of overestimated his time out, bt thats almost half his time there. Hes 30 aswel, didnt know that, thought he was a bit younger.

I’ve seen him compared to Kante. Do you see it?
@Zedders4 күн бұрын
He's got a great burst of energy but I wouldn't compare him to Kante, plus he's technically a lot more delicate than Kante is. That's just my opinion anyway

What qualities does a player need to be good at to play in a double pivot? How do you know, if a play can play in a pivot? Is there a specific combination you need to have to form it, or does it vary on team?
@Zedders4 күн бұрын
Depends, cause generally it's a lot to do with how comfortable you are in possession and taking the ball well off of your defenders on the half turn and then how you dictate the tempo, whether that's a direct game or a short passing controlling possession one. Can work with a player that isn't overly comfortable taking the ball from his defenders but then you run the risk off him being easily marked out of the game. Massive reason as to why Rice has moved further forward for Arsenal. Just doesn't fit in that deeper 6 role for a top club
@Michaelkaydee4 күн бұрын
I actually did see that coming 😁 ... got the scoreline and first scorer predictions spot on... P.s. it'll be silly if INEOS to get rid of ten Hag at this stage without giving him a fair shake under a proper structure.... he's won two trophies in two seasons under shambolic conditions; imagine what he could achieve with some stability...
@Prince-of-all-saiyans105 күн бұрын
Maresca, Farioli and Motta are mangers to watch next season. Will you be doing more manager analysis, to understand what to expect? Can a guy like Bremer play in a possession team,considering he's bad on the ball, but has good recovery pace and is an excellent defender. In general, can a defender who's not good on the ball play in a possession oriented team?
@Zedders5 күн бұрын
I'll probably be doing managerial videos over pre season and the start of the season once things have started to take shape at the clubs they're at. Typically I would say no for Bremer. I'm not saying it couldn't work but when a team that dominates possession Central centre backs generally have to be comfortable with their passing range and wider centre backs have to be comfortable bringing the ball out. Then there's the idea of taking the ball from the goalkeeper on the edge of your own box under pressure, teams will leave him free on the ball because of it

Any advice on how to watch the game in an analytical way, like you? I watch a lot of football: just struggle to understand what's happening, when watching. By the way, am I crazy in thinking Calafiori is far better than Stones? Calafiori, doesn't have exposure like Stones.
@Zedders7 күн бұрын
The best advice I could probably give you is pay attention to what's happening off the ball more than what happens on it, you'll see what a team is trying to do with their shape, pressing systems and where they're directing the ball. As an orthodox centre back, you can absolutely make that argument. Stones is at his best when he's allowed to roam and operate almost as a sweeper

I'm a Juve fan, and I believe you make valid points. Although, I feel Allegri system has affected he's confidence. Many attackers will suffer from his system. Would like to know your opinion, on whether he's weaknesses are coachable, especially with Motta coming in. How high of a celling does he have?
@Zedders10 күн бұрын
Interesting one, potentially and who knows if he'd flourish in a more vibrant system like Motta will bring but there's little habits he needs to kick to step up a level. He's got the physicality to be a really good target man and we've not seen it enough, if he can with a player playing off of him in the "Zirkzee" role that could be huge for him

I can see maybe Marc Guehi going which would be sad but I think if Glasner can lure Lacroix over he could maybe do a decent replacement job. Otherwise he could maybe look for Tuta or Pacho from Frankfurt but their contracts are for another few years each
