This tutorial is great: concise and showed how to manage a large quilt on a domestic machine. So many tutorials show a new stitch or pattern but don't show how to manage the entire quilt as you quilt it. Very nice, thank you!

Question about the leaf support for the right side. How far off the floor is the bottom of that support? I have a built-in window seat that I'd like the leaf to extend over and need to make sure the bottom of that support won't hit my built-in. Thx! I think this is a great cabinet & will fit my needs well.

This was just the tutorial I have been looking for! I'm going to do spirals on my new quilt but I have one dilemma and can't decide what to do. I have an inset solid border. Do I spiral across the border onto the outer edge of the quilt to continue the spiral or do I stop, jump over the boarder, and continue the spiral on the outer band of quilt to keep the frame undisturbed? It's a lot of extra thread tie offs but I think it would be worth the effort. Have you had this before? What is your recommendation? Thanks again for the helpful tutorial video.

I increase my stitch length to 3.0. Tension will depend on your machine and the thread, batting & fabrics you are using.

When doing the wavy line, which foot and stitch are you using (I have the same machine)? Do the creased lines STAY visible while quilting?
@ChristaQuilts3 ай бұрын
It depends. You can stitch a wavy line with a straight stitch or also a decorative stitch. Yes the creased lines are visible while quilting.

Dear Christa I started quilting 5 years ago, and in the begining I gluebasted, but it always crinkled up on me, so I have used pins for years. Until I resently saw this film. I had 2 quilts lying I had to baste and quilt, and gave your method a try. Now I am never going back to pins!! By the way. I just iron the quilts on the folding table after gluing. No problem with the heat on the table, even when I use high heat, the plastic does not even get warm. Thank you Inge, Odense, Denmark

I always had a hard time using a walking foot. I left the presser foot setting as it was, as the machine manual instructed. Puckers! I watched one of your videos and you said to turn the presser foot pressure down. Since then, I've been whipping through quilts like crazy, using the wavy line, or the machine wavy zigzag or serpentine stitch. Also cross hatching using either straight or wavy lines. You have made a big difference for me! Thank you!
