Berbatov didnt flop, he won the golden boot at United , and produced several magical moments. He just didnt fit into the high pressing system of United. Ironically, when SAF decided to play counter attacking football against the top teams, he had the perfect Trequartista in Berbatov but never utilised him, instead using Rooney in that role, and Rooney being Rooney would drop all the way back to his own penalty box to help defend, leaving Man Utd toothless in the counter attack. Berbatov would have been perfect in those games, staying up the pitch, looking for space to exploit when United were defending and the opposing team was high up the pitch. With his immaculate first touch he could control any long ball from the back, with his dribbling and strength and body frame could have held the ball up while the runners race up the pitch for the counter attack and then with his excellent passing and technique deliver the killer pass for runners to score or assist. Misunderstood, brilliant player. He wasnt Rooney but thats the point, a different player for a different approach

What? Berba won 2 titles at United, was PFA Team of the year and Golden Boot winner. Chelsea won the same number of titles as United in that period so they weren't more successful. Get your facts right.

In the Ferguson era 2 PL title's in 4 seasons was very much expected especially in his era where they arguably had the best ever squad and whoever was there instead of him would've done better. He scored ONE goal against a Top5 team in his ENTIRE ManUtd career in major competitions. He scored ZERO champions league knockout goals and only scored in 3 CL games for ManUtd none against real elite CL teams and went 3 whole years without a CL goal from late 2008 to late 2011. Because of him many ManUtd legends didn't finish their career's with an FAcup winners medal he singlehandedly cost ManUtd in 2 FAcup semi-finals and the latter would've only been playing Stoke in the final (that doesn't even include his nothing performance in the 2010 FAcup embarrassing loss to Leeds in the 3rd round at OldTrafford who were 2 league's below ManUtd) and also because of him ManCity can say 4 in a row but ManUtd can't.

Not the flashiest player but he plays like a veteran of the game.Physically balanced and strong,aerially decent despite his average height,positionally intelligent, does not dwell very long on the ball and is a tidy passer.Like i said,he plays like a veteran despite his young age.
