That straight pole move at 1:14 is really beautiful.

Yes it is, however when a vaulter has already created enough vertical lift to clear the bar, the vaulter has to cut off the Action to keep them from crashing into the bar. That's what Vitally Petrov said. Staying connected to the power source, cord of the pole, and applying force with a more efficient sequence of moves and developing the strength to utilize more of those muscle groups which would put you in that inverted position is more important to achieve higher heights. That being said, like Petrov said, there is still timing.

very interesting that he starts his warmup with getting stood-up/rejected. maybe we can learn something from this haha

Eine sehr komplexe Sportart. Ich denke, in der Leichtathletik mit Abstand die technisch anspruchvollste Disziplin. Es lässt sich erahnen, was Zehnkämpfer für Helden sind.

Hmmm interesting method here. What is the benefit of holding out the pole like that? Does it help the learning with speed to the tray?

It just ensures that the vaulter will get the pole into the box so you dont have to worry about that when focusing on the swing and other things. Als builds confidence

excuse me but i am 14 and less than a year ago my jump record was 19.6FT and didn't really train after that being end of season and such. yesterday i headed to my local track and jumped 3 times and every time was only like 15ft or something maybe 17ft. Anyway my question is can you give me a workout routine i can follow to expand my jump as far as possible. You seem like a good coach from this video i saw here. You have a lot of routines but what is BEST i guess to say? + any tips for my dad to look for at my form and such hes my eyes on coach
