I want to believe that Lucoa may have two forms, much like Fafnir does..or maybe they knew how big Lucoas actual form is, and they just made a different form to make space for her dragon form..but maybe it’s one of the options that you said. The team may have not known what her dragon form was going to look like yet, or if it was a place holder. This was just a theory that I have 😅

I think Otonashi forgot his memories cos you don't pass onto the next life with your memories. He said he had lived a fulfilled life at the end. Obviously he died first, his heart went to Kanade, he went somewhere between heaven and purgatory until kanade went to the afterlife, which is what summoned Otonashi there in the first place. He died in peace, never having to be there in the first place but because of Kanade wanting to thank the person who gave her her youth, otonashi had to end up there before fully passing on.

Also I solved the Beserk "Riddle" - it refers to Beserk, the show, nothing else. This iceberg was clearly done by someone who's 16 years or younger. That's why Berserk is supposedly obscure and Haruhi, the biggest anime of 00s is supposedly even deeper down the iceberg rofl

*Yui doesn’t have mental disorder/disabilities* she is the anime trope of airhead, her personality portrayed as a naive child who isn’t yet familiar with “common sense” however, she is good at social interactions, empathetic, sympathetic, and haven’t held any ill feeling towards others. Yui’s issues are physical not mental, clumsy, sloppy, sluggish, slow, weak, scatterbrained, dependent, and an absolute klutz. Yui is simply spoiled to being unmotivated which means she has energy saved for over-commitment, these overrated Mental Issues only overcomplicates Yui.

Although this was the first anime that i’ve watched, it was probably one of, if not the most underrated anime’s out there

I love angel beats, if it got 26 episodes it could’ve been even better than it was imo.

Here are some theories I came up with on why Kannade arrived before Otonashi in the purgatory and why Otonashi is not the programmer. if it makes any sense. A) Otonashi was probably in the process on passing on until his soul probably got stuck in the realm between the new life and purgatory for a long time which prevented him from moving forward. Since Kannade has the regret for not thanking the donor, he then appears in the purgatory somehow. Hence, he woke up without any memories in the purgatory. B) Otonashi was probably already born in the new life and lived his life completely or shortly died without any regrets. Then his soul returned to the purgatory without any memories and helped others and Kannade to move on from the Afterlife. Man I love this anime. Hopefully my theories make sense lol.

I just like fact that the new media for AB released in the form of a gacha collab for Maeda's gacha game Heaven Burns Red for its 1st Anniversary the event called Where The Cosmos Continued to Bloom focuses on Miyuki Irie, the drummer of GirlDeMo some might say in a sense it is 2nd Beat and hopefully we get more events focusing on the other characters

Angelbeats is a series that's very close to my heart. It was the 1st show i actually discovered by my self. Saw it on netflix, the title was interesting, gave it a go. Got hooked on it, cried my eyes out. Watched it again a few weeks after 😂. Immediatley i knew i had to get this on dvd, bought it of ebay [uk release]. Damn thing didnt arrive so i got a refund and bought another copy [us release]. That 1 arrived and funny enough my original purchase arrived months after 🤣. Kinda ironic considering how much i love this show that i now own 2 copies. This is also the only series that ever went out of my way to buy the ost on cd. Yeah i payed 50 odd bucks to import the angelbeats perfect vocal collection cd out of japan 😅😂. This show made me discover Key visual arts and ever since i've been on a personal mission to experience all of key's work! Kyoani's Clannad was the 2nd Key adaptation that i watched and boy did that change my outlook on life. Playing the visual novel rn actually! I've since seen and own Kanon 2006, Air tv 2006 on dvd. I've read the original Planetarian visual novel and i currently finished little busters! yesterday! I dont think there is another piece of media that has changed me more than key's works. Before i discovered Angelbeats i had no purpose in life, and now after indulging in so many stories by key i've found my purpose in my life! Ok, how did I not see this earlier. Angel Beats is one of my favorite anime of all time and still holds a special place in my heart. Glad to see an Angel Beats iceberg made. And I did surprisingly learned some new stuff here too. Though I am starting to think the Angel Beats as a series is just cursed. I knew about the show originally supposed to have 24 episodes and the visual novel having more but man, it is pretty disappointing to hear that most of these projects never really get to see the light of day. Though I am glad that there is at least something new that came out involving Angel Beats, even if it is just a crossover with a mobile game, Heaven Burns Red. I wonder if that would be an entry in the iceberg if this was made today. Also, that cameo with TK and Matsushita the 5th as fighting game characters is the greatest thing I have ever seen. I usually always joke about TK just being Terry Bogard and I always thought that Matsushita always reminded me of Goro Daimon from King of Fighters so it feels like it all comes full circle with this cameo, even if it uses the Street Fighter 4 versus screen instead of anything SNK. It can also be a reference to how the two formed a friendship over dancing.

I have a theory about why Otonashi arrived in purgatory before Angel and I haven’t found that theory anywhere else online. It may be a dumb thought, but try this on for size: when someone is an organ donor, they donate all viable organs if possible. Well, what if multiple organs went into multiple people and Otonashi wouldn’t appear in purgatory until every one of his organs was no longer in use? So, Kanade beats him there. That’s just means his heart stopped beating, but his other organ(s) was/were still going strong. Just a thought.

I'm confused by seeing this video

Excellent video! I hope it gets more attention! This series also remains one of my favorites across my years of watching anime. I've watched the show with many of my friends to see what they think of it as well. I remembered the giant plot hole at the end and tried to do some investigating, just in case it was brought up. I ran across the programmer theory, and I bring it up when people ask about the ending, but I also found a chart on the angel beats subreddit that explained that Otonashi could have also been placed in another afterlife after dying, almost as a purgatory. I think this is another alternative as religion is intentionally kept ambigous by the show, and it also alleviates the pain Otonashi would have gone through waiting for Kanade, whether or not you think that makes the story more impactful.

Oh the first beat was cancelled, that's sad I just finished that VN and it's really interesting to know the personality and back stories of the characters that barely had a screentime in the anime. I was looking forward to Shina, Yusa and TK's back story... RIP.
