@@isabcllx you have a AC unit and i’d say half of the living rooms have a fan in it, In 3 years there, most ppl didn’t need a fan! Hope this helps!

I switched out of my first program, ceramics, as I sustained a spinal injury from a work injury and had to have surgery and could no longer keep up with the manual labour of ceramics. I entered my current program, creative writing and publishing, accepting that I was a year behind. There was a girl in my program who I actually went to high school with and I became friends with her in my new program, but she is a year younger than me despite us being in the same year of the program. Now I am in fourth year and we all have to find internships in order to graduate next May, and I almost had one. The company told me they were going to call me on Tuesday to confirm my role, and I told my friends about it. Then they didn’t call. I found out that same day, that friend in my program who is younger than me who I went to high school with, she did an interview with them that day and they gave her the role. I’ve been investing all my energy into this application (I did 3 interviews at this company, wrote writingg samples which they asked for, sent my transcript and have maintained 90’s for grades). I feel completely devastated. I didn’t even know she was applying with them. I wish she had told me before I found out they were giving her the job. She asked me how my co op search was going and sat there and listened to me get excited about this job, and then I lost everything. Now it’s mid terms and I have no leads all of a sudden. I am trying to come to terms with the fact that I might have to graduate even later now. And she’s gonna graduate perfectly on time. I don’t want to be bitter about it, I want to be happy for her that she doesn’t have to worry about this anymore but I really hate this situation. There aren’t enough internships for everyone and I don’t have great people skills but I felt really at home with the company I almost got a job at. I feel pathetic now.

The advice i can give out is that If you’re gonna go to college make sure you go in with a purpose and execute it when you graduate. Major in something you know for sure it will get you to where you want to be, hell, make sure it even requires a degree! I think being lost during college, studying something you’re not sure about is the worst mistake you can do. You’ll be racking up debt, paying it off, finding it harder for yourself to make a true living. It’s not your fault though people. The system didn’t teach you that part. Even it means graduating late, i think it’s great to rather do that then graduate early and have no plan and work a 9-5 with a useless degree and ruining yourself. Don’t rush yourself. It’s hard to figure yourself out straight after high school as a 17-18 year old, although great if you do. Take the time you need, but also don’t get comfortable.

Thanks a lot for making this video which brought a community of others that also feel left behind. I also failed my first year classes. Took a gap and stopout semester, now doing an independent study due to reoccuring personal traumatic experiences. The shame and fear of judgement from those that don’t understand the sheer pressure and adversities of each person, I am constantly trying to “get over” the fact i may graduate at 25-26. Will dial in! We are living our own personalized paths and truths.

Ugh, this hits really hard. I'm 23 and I'm only just starting with my own degree. This means I'll be done by 27 when my friends are all graduating this year. 27 is such a daunting number when taking into consideration the fact that i have no prior job experience -at least none that i can put on my resume. Gee, if i was rich i wouldn't be losing sleep over this but as someone who lives in a household that's half a brush away from real poverty... I genuinely feel like jumping over a bridge over how long it's gonna take me to finish. Much more find a job. The line where it's all like 'the most important thing is to learn' feels so significant for me because i came into this, so excited. Now, I'm just terrified and scared and angry - and so hopelessly lost. It's like my life's a series of consequences i keep having to deal with from actions that aren't even my own. I'm not two days into college. I'm a year into it. I'm not quite young anymore. I'm 23. I get out of this at 27. Nearing my thirties and just about to get my first real job. The pandemic hit and my life went out of control. I'm still trying to get the years i lost back when the true reality is I've already lost four.

This guy's questions don't make sense. A couple of times he asks for largest - largest has more than one definition - length, mass, volume etc.... and the questions about breathing oxygen were embarrassing. "What is the periodic element for Carbon Dioxide" "what do humans breath for oxygen". Questions don't make sense.

I have like a year and a half, maybe 2 years left. I went into College straight out of highschool, and I was in Graduation Class of 2021. I did pretty good my first two semesters and a halfway through the third but...around that time I sorta fizzled out. I didn't want to do this shit anymore, it didn't help that beforehand I never failed a meaningful class until College, which contributed to my spiraling mental health. And I still haven't really gotten over it but I'm trying my best to get this stuff straight. Not necessarily for me at this point, just for my parents so they can say one of their children got a degree.
