I have stretched my neck for years, and focusing on strength instead has been helpful. Thank you!

I have occipital neuralgia, I to have been doing stretching excercise. I suffer from dizziness and pain at the base of my skull when I apply any pressure on the back of my head. Very hard to sleep. Will try your excercise’s, hopefully give me relief.

Question: if someone has "Instability" say of Alar, Facet, Nuchal... Wouldn't this be the reason the muscles are already overworked? Thus more exercise would just continue the muscle degradation? Some with Posterior Atlantooccipital Membrane tears can't even look up without symptoms. OR - we have a misunderstanding of the real pathology going on. Can I interview you for my CCI Group?
@RobertLongM2 күн бұрын
Agreed!!!! Hope this truth does get louder. People are getting worse with stretching! And people are creating Cervical Instability. It's more than disc pathology, it's messing up mechano & proprioception. You hit everything greatly.

Thank you for this. I've been stretching alot but the relief is very short lived. I've noticed a common thread in your advice, be gentle and very controlled, sadly this is not what I've been doing.

Hello, Marrow! Question, i believe i heard you correctly. It can be caused by watching something go by quickly and your eyes trying to focus, essentially? I went on a ride at a fair that made me feel so dizzy, i was trying to focus on something and couldn't. Would the vertigo be immediately? Or would ot come a few days after that? Thanks!

Do the use of muscle relaxers (Supplements or Pharmaceutical) help at all along with strengthening ? Also is it possible to have some sound sensitivity with this condition?
@ljrockstar694 күн бұрын
I didn't know vertigo can occur in the cervix of the vagina, like Marrow is stated in this video.

Should I do exercise 2 and 3 or just pick one of these to go with the first exercise. I have been doing gaze stabilisation exercises but this has left me with a stiff neck and tight muscles. Thank you
@physiotipswithmarrow58364 күн бұрын
These exercises work best as a progression after the neck is doing better. If the neck is stiff I would try these exercises instead and come back to the gaze exercises lastly. Check out this link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a7KRqbBz0Ke9pas.html

I have all the symptoms. I have the MRI and X-ray to support the symptom list. Doctors are still wondering what is wrong with my “absolute perfect inner ears”. Who is giving our doctors medical degrees now a days? This is a tad bit scary after watching students uprising at the universities that lead in the medical field.

Can you please tell us if having tight neck shoulder & traps can cause unsteadiness on our feet?
@physiotipswithmarrow58365 күн бұрын
Yes, the upper trap/levator scapulae tightness can increase pain at C1-3 neck jts which can result in headache or dizziness.

Avoid dizzy with cervicogenic 1. Sit straight by touching your lower back to seat and feet needs to touch ground ( use something under your feet) 2. Follow 3 for 30 rule, take breaks and walk for 3 minutes 3. Do not in bed for too long, the more you lay down the more spine muscles get weak, we need to walk more 4. Do more physical activity to strengthen muscles 5. Avoid too much phone 6. Avoid too much time on couch, use pillows for back support

Hi Marrow, on the cervical extensor exercise on the four point kneeling position for the three sets of 10, 1-2X per day, is that looking to right 5 times on each hand or 10 on each hand? Long time CGD sufferer for 12+ years so would like to try these out for a while.

Cervicogenic dizziness is frequently mistaken for BPPV. It would need a proper exam to be for sure.

Hi. Great videos. Every time i look up for say 30 seconds or more i get very very bad vertigo. It can happen even when shaveing, when doing under my chin. I have had this for maybe 10 years. At first i didnt know it was my neck maybe , but my neck ws so stiff i could hardly turn sideways. Even walking around i would be kind of dizzy turn my head one way or the other fast would cause a little dizzyness. I went to a ent and they said i had meniers disease, and i asked her well why do i get bad vertigo if i look up for any length of time. She said i dont know. Any way i started on my neck about a year ago, stretching every day. When i first just started to massage my neck it was very sore even to massage it lightly, but i kept at it havent had vertigo attack for a long time, but still have this fullness feeling in my head, and slight headache It kind of feels like i am spaced out a little. This is 24 hours a day , and very bothersome. So i just checked out the u tube and to see if neck stiness could be the cause of slight dizzyness and headache, and foun ur channel. I did some of your exercizes and no more dizzyness . Now i cant believe it, and maybe its pacebo effect , but over the next few days i will see. I will let you know.............Thank you so much .........A friend from Canada.
